Questions about the Thermal Tower....
1) I placed some chaosium in it but how do I turn it on? Don't see % increasing.
2) For the boost perk on crop will the actual plots have to be in the Tower radius or it's enough that part of the base is inside the radius of the Tower?
3) When we start a purification do enemies attack the TT instead of my base?
4) Does the big boss spawn near my Tower even before stage 4?

There is a massive start button if you have permission you click it.

Your crops must be in the radius.

Enemies will attack each base in the radius of the tower and the tower.

I c, do we have to do the purification with the tower? Do we get any particular upgrades or perks if we do? And for us there isn't a start button, the only one I can think of is the red button that says REACTOR, and it's asking me to add hot and cold rock and then there is another button that says: POST GATHERING TASK.

There is no start button ... the clown just answer without having any clue ... the tower starts to work when you change the temperature (aside from that the rest of the buffs are pasives) ..... sometimes the temperature change is bugged and you cant do it ... restarting the game sometimes solves this .

Go to Tower, press F (to pay respects)
Go to MANAGE tab
Choose temperature higher/lower
Press START

Congratulations, your tower working now

Ok I c, so right now it's 0 C and says active but the % is 0, I see a locker at 10C or -10C is it bugged? Should I rebuild it?

My guess is that I have to use 60 hot and cold rocks to unlock the temperature changing device.

I added 60 cold and hot rocks and now it says gathering resources but nothing happens :(
