The ONLY way to get Lightforge Relics is by pulling duplicate cosmetics from any Lightforge Crates.
TL;DR: open crates, get relics. There is NO other way to get Lightforge Relics.
You can purchase items directly using the shards, but they're so expensive you'd have to save up for two to three loot boxes to get enough shards for one of the best items.
While I applaud the detail and design of their cosmetics (along with the variety of genres/interests) their loot box design is one of the most predatory things I've run into outside of mobile gaming ( I don't play gacha games, I've heard those are worse).
I would much prefer to buy the cosmetics direct, but we all know that would benefit the consumer, not the overly greedy company. As it stands now, I simply throw them $80 for every 100 hours I play and then hope my RNG is good.
It hasn't been great.
