Because servers become locked after 10 days, you cannot just join for the last phase anymore.

You'll have to join a new server and wait out the first 3-4 phases.

You can't game the system to just get the starchrom crates for energy links in last phase or whatever you are planning to do.

1. You can only transfer to a new server in migration phase.

2. The starchrom you can get in the migration phase from the season shop is only around 4,000 for 390,000 energy links in Manibus. If I remember correct, for Way of Winter, it is 1 crate short so 3,500 for 290,000 with another 7,000 for the server goal.

3. Bulk of the starchrom will come from other activities like weekly purification, season goals and buying from Severin for stellar planula (gotten from quests and exploration activities).

4. The only exception to point 1 is to buy a scenario exit card for 1 Mitsuko Mark but you can only do this once every 60 days.

5. Nobody can join a server after it has already passed 14 days. This is to prevent new players from getting wrecked as the scenario progresses. You will be in deep trouble if by phase 3 or 4 of Way of Winter, you still do not have proper weather gear and the ability to produce your own All Weather Stew.

i think people are missing what i said(?), on oct 19th, i joined a way of winter server for 20 minutes but then left the game because i remember the stupid phase content locking thing and wanted to wait until the 2nd to last phase so i could just play without being content locked.

now are you guys saying that despite me having joined a way of winter server and played for a bit in it's phase 1, i can't rejoin that anymore?

if you have already joined and played a bit in that server, you should be able to enter that server. To be clear, this is not just registering for the server but actually entering it.

If that's the case, then the 14-day rule does not apply to you because you are already an inhabitant of that server.

However, keep in mind that the server has an end date.

For Way of Winter, the settlement phase is phase 5 and settlement phase lasts for 4 weeks. This means about 9 weeks of total lifespan for the server.

So, if you waited past the 9 weeks by accident or something, the server would have been closed. Otherwise, you should be able to see and enter it with the character that you already entered in.

To check what phase your server is in, all you need to do is enter the server then press Esc.

On top right, there is a menu to see season goals and stuff.

It will tell you what phase you are in.

Alternatively, when you see your server in the main menu (the one before you enter the server), it will also tell you when the server first opened. From that you can roughly work it out based on 1 phase being around 1 week usually.
