Report a translation problem
for this particular reason it would only punish solo players, hives can continuously do that.
while im not pro alts i dont think this would fix people using disposable bases, you do what you have to do.
IP can be spoofed, use HWID ban instead.
The core of the issue with Alts is unfair advantage.
It's kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to say this is a "punishment" to solo players. Get friends, play in a team, join a hive. What's stopping you?
INB4: Solo players doesn't want to play with others.
Well then that's your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ problem. It's an MMO designed around cooperative team play.
By the way, as far as I understand, when people block something with five alts, they can be banned or territory removed for this. Just make a report.
My problem for what?
Advantage being specialisation.
The game is an MMO regardless how much of an anti-social unloveable weirdo you are.
The developers wants interactions and economy between players, it's the reason why World(server) sizes are getting reduced, and Scenario choices are getting minimised.
One player having access to more than one player can normally have allows them to not having the need to interact with others who have it genuinely and legitimately.
Why someone would be so loud and proud about how they have no friends / nobody wants to be their friend to help them out is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wild to me.
Lol, the economy is dead because of the stupid trading system. I haven't seen such garbage since Ultima Online.
I played many MMOs and alts were a must have XD
Don't compare people to yourself. It's the 4th season and I have friends and a hive, but I don't want to bother someone if I need for example, craft food. Like hey dude, drop everything run and craft me some buffed bread XDD
Again, what advantage does a solo player with alts have in specialization over you, a social player who has other people from the hive do everything for you?
Lol, are you lazy or just don't have time for an alt? Well, as you said, this is an MMO and players with a lot of playtime have an advantage.
The second reason people make alts is resource farms. Unless youre super lucky to get a spot with both acid and oil you'll have to use an alt to get both. Just add independent pumps that work anywhere and increase their output. That way you only need 5 or 10 pumps max to get the fuel, water, and acid you need instead of 6 or 8 alts with 20-30 pumps each.c
Same with crops for deviated products. At best you'll get 50% of your crops as deviated even with 20 bees and using the fertilizer which is a rediculous amount of work, its easier to just have 10 alts with 200 crops each and let RNG give you all the deviated crops you'll want for food. Give us deviated seeds and make food not spoil. Problem solved.
Hardware lock is a great solution. But IP will work as well. THose within the household will teach the cheater to not cheat.
SOrry, but using family as an excuse to allow cheaters to continue with exploiting is just sad on your part.
If you ban any additional accounts playing from the same IP address at the same time, then I guess you have sort of brute-force found the solution. But this doesn't account for the part of the player base who each own separate individual accounts, but live at the same house.
The accounts of these individual members by definition are NOT alternate accounts, thus they are NOT breaking any rules, thus they should NOT be penalized due to the actions of people who DO exploit.
So, by just implementing a base IP ban, you would unnecessarily ban all those innocent players because they happen to live in the same household.
I also don't need to offer any other solutions. HWID is the best choice, obviously.
This should be obvious to anyone who has spent more than a few seconds to consider this.
Finally, I'm not using anything as an "excuse" to exploit. Very assumptive on your part what my intentions are. Noted. Good bye forever, friendo.
