the reason most games start to run bad "when they ran ok before" is due to shaders most of the time, so deleting them and let the game re-make them is usually a fix.
make a note i said "usually a fix", so don't rage at me if its not better. but it can't get any worse either so, why not do it.
to give an example, me with fortnite sometimes the game starts to have low fps and micro freezes, so i delete the shaders and its fixed. also UE has a shader problem so i found out on the UE forums, some games may endup in a shader compile loop and that's why you get bad fps. they recoment deleting the shaders manually, and that's why i said it.
If you're having framerate issues with hardware like that I'm guessing you're just not practicing good PC hygiene. Turn off all the bloat you've got running in the background.
this is also a good thing to do, uninstall the bloat and keep pc clean.
Good, because that's Russian. It's pretty much barely even spoken by commies anymore.
Run DLSS
Frame generation if you got a 40 series.
It's the only thing that kept my CPU below 75C
Its not a issue on his end.. This game first start just sucks.. For everyone but not everyone has a monitoring program running on screen to show usage and temps all the time cause most just buy a damn pre built and play games straight up.
They could care less as to why their PC blue screens or shuts down during gameplay when the problem could be solved by actually looking into settings and other various ways to reduce heat and usage.
I spent 5 minutes to solve my usage and temp issues by turning on frame gen and DX12/DLSS.
With all that off I get 100% usage on both parts and that is scary for this being not that graphically intensive or CPU intensive on the surface, it being free as well sparks the question of mining software. Wouldnt put it past netease.
i7-11700k
RTX 4070
is my combo with stable drivers(yes not latest because that can cause issues).
Gray Zone Warfare does the same crap but they are dumb and dont put settings to rectify the issues. That game just in the menu with capped 60 fps runs my cpu into the ground at 105C. That right there is not a me issue when I can play other triple A games and indie games at a cool 55C on max settings at 1440p.
So stop this nonsense telling people it's a them issue these days. Gaming is changing. This was a argument to be made during the FX CPU days if your block cooler was clogged with cat hair and dust. Not in 2024.
Settings iirc are mostly all high/maxed out but I have vsync off, and my PC is hardware capped at 90 fps (playing on 1440p with AMD FSR on, DX11). It doesn't stutter nearly as much or as noticeably as it used to, much smoother experience for me. GPU peaked at 68C on air, CPU peaked at 77C on an AIO. Huge improvement from last time for me.
That said, this game has always had inconsistent performance across different PC hardware configurations. Had tons of people gaslighting me about performance being "great" when the game launched but no... it certainly wasn't for everyone.
Anyway, I'm happy that at least I can seemingly enjoy this game much more this time around without the bad performance. If this keeps up, I will change my review to positive.
