Raindeer, seals, bear. wool, for cold resist.
Alligator for hot resist.
There are cold/hot food.
There are cold/hot stone.
At higher leverls you got a latern that uses chaosism.
Your tutorial birds tells you this.
If there is a chaos rever in the area the temperature will skyrocket either cold or hot depending on the CW.
Sometimes I can survive -15 with just my armor and no food buffs; other times its like my armor isn't giving me any cold resist at all and I have to use food buffs to survive at -10.
I've had that happen to me several times of times I've even died of hypothermia while the temperature gauge was in the comfortable zone
In the space of a day my home went from perfectly fine to live in, to almost freezing to death on one side of the main room. My comfort zone is allegedly between -10 and -30 but the second I hit -11 I start to freeze to death.
What's more funny is the gauge seems to not even respond when I take off my insulated armor, putting it back on does nothing either. Yet as soon as I eat food that gives +5 cold resist? It moves, but only +5 and still ignores my armor insulation. Unless I make a new piece of armor and put it on, then suddenly it works... until it doesn't.
At this point I'm convinced the coding for temperature is just not working as intended.
Sometimes when you switch gears:
1. It applies the temp resistance but doesn't show it.
2. It takes time for the temp meter to readjust.
3. Sometimes it just glitches and needs to be reset by eating a temp food, jumping into the new bed, jumping in water.
Basically anything else that can increase or decrease your resistance.
So far I've seen this glitch only in equipment swaps.
You can scroll down on the armor description and it will tell you the effect.
