Animal Feed for Taming & Fresh Food Storage
I am looking for advice on taming animals and the best feed options. I currently have a bear (56% tame) and a wolf (27% tame). The bear will eat feed even though she's fish, berries, veggies; I notice though that she will eat oranges. The wolf, however, ate the meat feed once, letting it's tamability sit overnight at 1%, and its hunger dropped to 19%. I then realized I needed to hunt. It prefers bear meat (ironic since it's right next to a bear being tamed), then pork, and won't touch deer meat. What animals actually eat the feed regularly, or is it just a backup for when other food spoils?

Also, how do you keep meat fresh while stored in the trough? my bag's cooler extends freshness by 70%, but I need to refill the trough frequently. I keep it in the fridge, give her 5 pork, 2 bear meat, she will eat it, but I don't put it all in there cause by the time she gets to the last piece there's only 20 or less minutes left before spoil. That, and fresh meat lasts half and long as fresh fish. Fresh fish is a lot easier to get, i have to go to northern Chalk Peak and hunt bears, and boars, and cats even (haven't tried that meat yet with her), which is fine there's plenty out there, just takes a chunk of time to do it, especially when the freshness in the fridge is under a day (real time) -- and as far as I know, the wolf wants it raw right, not cooked? Any tips for managing this?

The diet of the wolf is vague, to me. "Diet: all meats" if that was true, my venison wouldn't be going rotten, untouched. And then the favorite food section needs some specifics I feel, all it says is "large chunks of meat from big animals." That's about as vague as it gets.

For those curious, the wolf's taming rate increased by 25% in 5 hours with the bear meat and pork.

Would appreciate any insights on taming preferences and food storage!

the state of the game, is, in my opinion, unfortunate. When taming/breeding was introduced, I went hunting for leopards. I caught around a dozen. My best male I tamed was S tier, and I began to breed him with several S tier females. He glitched out several patches later while standing outside. Gone. I went hunting this week for leopards in the five spots where i caught them before. Nothing. NOT A SINGLE LEOPARD *ANYWHERE*. I cannot find them at all. Animal spawn rates have become unreliable,or, perhaps in some cases, non existent. The game is having severe Dev/programming issues.

In my experience, wolves are the slowest taming animals of all

I saw a cat this morning, up in northern Chalk Peak, it was running around with a group of boar, or attacking them, but when I walked by I became the main interest. It's the first one I've seen, to be fair, and I've been out there a few times this week.

If you can, I would recommend making the meat pellets. I was able to get a deviant rabbit that collected a bunch while I was offline. I would make them all into pellets. I noticed that my bear, wolf, and croc would let the fresh meat spoil ALOT of the time. If put extras I made in the fridge the meat pellets can last 49days! Also, I learned that if you put the animals in your backpack when going offline it "freezes" the stats so they didn't drop(If it did it wasn't noticable). *sidenote: I learned to house animals on atleast a second floor. Everytime I stored them on a first floor foundation and came back they always glitched out of their pens and killed each other or my turrets killed them.
