There better not be any wipes. My friend and I are playing and we don't want to have our characters trashed every few months. Such a hassle.

welp, bad news bud, a game that isnt desgined to be replayable or have wipes will wipe every 6 weeks lmao
It would be better if you read about it instead but that's not my problem. I'll be enjoying the next scenario personally.
III. Once a new scenario begins, will I lose my previous progress?
We are aware that many players are concerned that their in-game progress will be reset in 6 weeks, but we are here to reassure you that
this will NOT happen! We value the time and effort you put into this game, so the items and gear you have obtained from the seasonal scenario will be retained in various ways.
(1) The following in-game content will be retained no matter how the seasons and servers change:
a. Important Currency: Starchroms, Crystgins, Mitsuko's Marks, Stellar Planula, and Sproutlets
b. Gear Blueprints (and their stars), Blueprint Fragments, Weapon Accessories, and Mods.
c. Furniture Formulas (except those gained through your Memetics)
d. Cosmetics, Expressions and Poses, Namecards, and more.
e. House Blueprints. After a House Blueprint is saved, you can reconstruct the building at any time (if advanced materials are not available, basic materials will be used in building instead).
f. Main story and side story task progress (for the tasks you've already completed, you can accept more streamlined versions of them in the new season but still get all the rewards).
g. Your friend list will fully carry over. Furthermore, you can check which players joined your Warband in the previous seasons and add them to your friend list.
(2) The following content and resources will only be partially carried over when you decide to enter a new season and start a new journey:
"Essential resources like materials, medicine, and ammunition can be carried over into a new season based on item transferring rules
so you can progress faster in the new season)."
In each new season, your character begins at Level 1, and all exploration progress on the World Map is reset. This ensures a level playing field for all players in the new season. Additionally, the new scenario will present a different map for exploration and rewards. Each seasonal server will also feature fresh challenges, tasks and rewards.

IV. Why does each scenario last six weeks?
Different scenarios have different durations. The two existing scenarios are 6 weeks in length. Future scenario seasons might have longer or shorter durations. There might also be some permanent scenarios for players to enjoy in the game.

You can see in game what carries between worlds (yes our world is going to be destroyed by manibus) or here or above as the poster said ^ https://steamcommunity.com/games/2139460/announcements/detail/4230650600765346782

tl;dr almost everything will carry over except the random server materials and even then you can bring them over with other methods. All of your eternaland stuff, cosmetics, blueprints, blah blah are not effected at all. (this is why i said try reading, not just trying to be a jerk, but it would explain a lot to you)

The devs are rethinking wipes. They said so in last nights stream on youtube. Might be too late to stop the first one but going forward they will look for a different way to deliver new experiences. It requires a huge overhaul and a lot of dev time.

You really should read up on the games before you play

Serious question: Are you aware of all the nuances and caveats in that statement? If so, why aren't you including them?

I will just say that this list from the developers is presented in the best possible (and in many ways misleading) light because the game is so heavily built around the seasonal concept and it's vital to them that the players be willing to accept it.

What is it that you care about? You keep your gear, the blueprints, the mods, all the cosmetic stuff. The only thing you lose is character levels which are gained fairly quickly and will be even quicker when you have so much stuff carried over from before the wipe.

It's nice that they listen but they don't need to listen to EVERY feedback especially from people who don't even know what's going on in their game in the first place. I guess if they really do lose half their playerbase they'll have to figure it out but I mean everyone else has known this. Id idnt play a single beta or watch any footage and even i knew. I don't even understand how you avoid realizing this personally

You're being what's the word.... obtuse. Did you even read what they said or are you just here to bicker? if you are maybe it would be a better use of time to bicker at support and feedback where anyone who controls the game might see it instead of other players who can't do anything for you

I hope you understand that while your gear and materials are transferred to Eternaland storage at the end of the season, you can not necessarily bring it with you into the next seasonal scenario. There is a point budget you're allotted, and that creates a limit on the number of items you can bring with you when entering a new season. They paint it as a tactical decision.

The remainder of your items end up being useful only as a building currency specifically for Eternaland, which (being a glorified lobby that some players don't care about) is not the great pro-wipe argument many paint it as.

Sure, being able to keep our weapon/armor blueprints is great. Not losing anything is still better.

Great, every new game that comes out we get the "This game's dead/gonna die soon" award farmers.
These people need a hobby.
FRP_Freddy Jul 12, 2024 @ 11:36am
wipes are great idea honestly and will keep the game balanced. Ill gotten gains from early exploits is what will kill the game .
