Once Human

Once Human

Enquiry windows MRT flagged MLiveCCplayerApp.log as infected.
Can a developer of the game assist in my query?

(1)I mean i can understand the whole start up program is a counter and a unique ID. But is there a way to permanently remove it, cause it doesn't go away when i uninstall the game. double clicking the start up app and windows will say the file cant be found.

(2)when scanning with Windows MRT, 2 files were detected by MRT as infected files. one of the files is MLiveCCplayerApp.log. i manage to trace to the file location under a weird folder "CC" after deleting the entire "CC" folder and ran MRT again, there were no infected file detection. I then relaunched the game and the "CC" folder together with it's content including MLiveCCplayerApp.log magically got regenerated and MRT flagged it as infected files again during scans. The summary of the scan however did not show any malicious detection so i am still very puzzled with why the 2 files were flagged as infected files.

I scanned it with Malwarebytes and Defender too and didn't found anything wrong with the file which is located in <Driver name>/Steam/steamapps/common/Once Human/cclive_bin....I also scanned the folder with MRT and I honestly have no idea what 2 files are infected because after scanning Riot folder from league of legends, 2 files appear....while it finishes it says "No malicious software was found" and I can't find what 2 files are infected because the detailed results gives me all the Not Infected results...so for me the files infected are from Riot not this game(although I still don't know what files)....

I also found this from Windows replies The Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT) focuses on the detection and removal of a limited number of specific malware families...a small subset of active malicious software. MSRT was not designed to be a comprehensive scanning tool and does not include detection of adware, adware, browser hijackers, toolbars or Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs).

MSRT should not be relied on to ensure a computer is infection free...that is the job of your anti-virus and anti-malware software.

Probaly an offline Windows defender scan would be helpful to know if the files are actually infected or the MRT tool is just...♥♥♥♥, or have something like BitDefender/Kaspersky AV
