My character got fat?
Why is this even a thing? Do i REALLY have to micromanage my food intake? Just because i kept my character on max food bc i thought it gave me extra stam or smth so now my character is bloated as a baloon, stupid beyond belief, it's BEYOND annoying to have to manage my food intake in a game like this. Project zomboid? Sure, this? HELL NO

Then stop eating so much food, simple.

You read about ingame. iYou tested it and now you came here crying to make drama. No sane person eats when they are not hungry!

Ha-ha, yes it seems we do have to pay attention to how much we eat...

When this happened the first time, my reaction was much like yours (and no, I didn't read the "fine print" either), but now I think it's quite funny. Time to "hit the gym" - or at least go easy on the yummy crocodile steaks.

It seams like a cool thing
I guess you can reverce it in time

I forgot to mention that your character will get back in shape very quickly - just make him/her run to the next mission point instead of riding the bike or teleporting.

stop treating your characters appetite as you would treat your own.

Just travel on foot to lose it.

Fun fact, there are three stages and each one has unique buffs.

lmao, the fanboys strike again, what i was saying is that it's a useless feature for the game, literally no point in having it, and be so haphazard as well, and no i wasn't eating when "hungy" i was eating whenever it was 1 bar down, because as i said, for those that CANNOT READ that i ate because i thought i gained extra stamina when on full stomach because i had a extra stamina bar around my stamina bar, still don't know why or how i had it. But i kept my character starving while gathering resources for like 2 hours and doinga few missions and he's still fat. So yeah. Stupid "feature" which should not exist like at all... as i said, i REALLY can't be bothered microing what and when i eat, eating/water in this game is so shallow it might as well not exist, it's that irrelavant with how easy it is to get and how little it does that it might as well not exist at all, literally there just for the "survival tag" that's it.

You should try Scum. It is a minigame itself there to know what food to eat to get what up or down.

With armor sets in game u can make a heavy meele or fortress builds - with buffs from being fat u can make them even stronger (I forgot what exact stat it gives). But yeah.. normal food should have miniscule effect on weight and instead for ex. there could be special items (birthday cake? XD) to gain or lose fat for those stat boosts

Yup and now I have to pay real money for my character go go back to exactly how I made him to begin with. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with my character creation to make money is not ok and I'm defintely not going to boot up the game and play a character that is completely ruined.

There's no point in giving us body sliders when they'll be ruined by just playing as an insentive to make us pay for tokens in order to keep our character the way we made them to begin with.

Edit: it says you should watch for items that contain a text mentioning weight gain, which the food I've been eating doesn't + that I've barely been topping off every hour+ when it's in the red so that isn't accurate.

Edit 2: looking into the exact weight my character was before randomly getting fat, I was the exact same weight yet somehow my body sliders were completely changed so it wasn't due to my character actually gaining any weight as it was still at 85kg as when I first made it so out of nowhere my sliders all went up to 100 and to change the sliders back to the way I had them I need to pay ~€10 not knowing if this'll happen again.

Edit 3: Lost weight to 64kg, standing in my base not doing anything or eating anything and my weight is back up to 71kg.

Edit 4: Found out the reason why the sliders in particular was altered, the Hunter Spider top defaults the upper body to to 100, which permanently altered my characters upper body to those I did not set.
Edit 5: The extradimensional cat increases your body weight by just lying in bed. I went to bed with the cat for 10-15 minutes and it increased my weight by almost 30kg. And gaining weight will default your body sliders to the fitness slider so any changes to your arms, legs or hip / stomach width will be changed to fit with the fitness slider not sure if losing weight will cause the same problem.

Can you even lose weight in the game?

Yes. Skinny, normal and fat are the three states and each one affects your character.
