What's a good way to farm rubber?

Press hide all if you want to see the map better, or if you know what it's made out of type that in. Typing in rubber gives no results so it's probably something from dismantling. In that case, find the rubber you need (for example in the craft menu) and mouse over it, it will say how to get it

I get it from Dismantling stuff, but it would be nice if trees gave the items they are supposed to bear/produce. I've never had drops of apples or bananas, for example, so I doubt that rubber trees would give anything either, even if they exist somewhere.

You havent gotten anything from trees? If i chop down a tree i get apples. The banana trees aren't fully grown in this game so they have no fruit, additionally i have gotten coconuts from trees that appeared to have them. Maybe its a drop chance?
I got apples both from cutting the tree down and while i was chopping (like how when you chop it says +w/e wood in the left corner, it said apple+1 too and such

Hope it helps although I know its not really like a solution I'm just trying to let you know its worked for me so keep trying (or maybe find different trees)

rubber part unrelated because i havent even seen it in game yet, but the fruit trees near my house definitely give me fruit
