If it helps, getting these pieces to work reliably often depends on building that section of the structure in the correct order. Sometimes you need to insert temporary pieces until you have the permanent assets in place, and then you can safely remove the temporary ones after.
For example, a corner roof piece will sometimes refuse to fit unless you remove the walls beneath it first and add in a temporary ceiling piece. Then once the corner piece is in place you can add the walls back in and remove the ceiling piece.
Other times it's just a matter of finding the correct one-in-a-million angle that it'll snap from.
It's extra hoops you shouldn't have to go through but it's what we're stuck with until/unless they improve it.
thank you, i was eating lunch and then i was gonna demolish the whole roof but i read your comment, tried the ceiling piece and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ corner gave up and finally snapped in place
