Besides, it's not like it costs a lot to repair anyway.
I do not have an issue barrelling through stuff but the fact that the camera angle is terrible and the place is full of things to hit unless you just drive the long way round on roads then you will be hitting something often.
Not to mention even with the top mods on the bike it handles like poop.
It's rather easy to be going at full pelt across the wasteland and with the zoomed in camera angle when you are on a bike and going up a hill not see that there are 3 ore nodes behind that bush OR while moving to miss a tree only to find an ore node behind a bush etc.
Anyone would think that there are no trees or ore nodes in this game and you can see them for miles and its easy to be zoomed in on a bike doing 70 and not hit a thing.
If they just change the repair mats to something you have loads of and do not use that would be fine but to use aluminium that takes acid is not great.
P.S I'm old and cant see but thats beside the point :-)
There's enough roads ingame to not need to go offroad ever, and thus you never get the "bush hiding a rock" situation.
If you still choose to take shortcuts by offroading, then that is the price to pay.
Post apocalypse planet and you still have to use the roads.
The shortest route from A to B is a straight line and while in RL I use the roads in a game I want to blast across the place and not have to use the roads or my indicators.
