Oh and don't forget the 400 free points bonus that EVERYONE gets if you down the boss in 5 minutes.
proves my point that shield damage > all
Turret damage is the general winner overall. To the shield, to the boss, to the mobs, you're rewarded separately for each. You should really review the Details of the Prime War to see all the ways you can earn points. Reviving a single person gives as many points as dealing 10k to the shields.
I went to my first war after looking up a video but because I had no idea how you are supposed to build a turret in another area other than your base(Yeah another video people have to look up) I just used my guns and some nades and still only managed to get 300 points.
What was the GREAT reward for using around 3000 ammo-10 nads- 15 Molotov ? 2 gunpowder
It's also not what I would call fun, people basically just stand in place and pew pew with nothing much to worry about and the fact that people have had to place walls ALL OVER the place just to slow the boss down is STUPID.
So all in all its little reward and not fun (especially if it fails and you were the one to spawn the boss)
The 800 starchrom for completing it. Plus getting 1000 points unlocks hard mode so you can do even more prime wars for more starchrom.
Starchrom is a time-limited resource and more sources of it are always welcome.
I did not say anything about how turrets work I said how to set up turrets outside your base.
I only found out about the mobile base because of a video as I thought it was an option aka build a base OR build a mobile base not both. So is that explained in game and where?
So you will have to point out where all this info is because I looked in all the tabs ingame and could not find anything out.
You just build them. No mobile base is required. I always build a gatling gun before leaving my own base, deconstruct it so the materials go into my bag, then head over to the prime war and plop it down in build mode. There are no tricks, no oddities, it's literally as simple as building it as if it were your own base. Turrets can only be built on flat surfaces so you need a foundation or ceiling to put one down, even if someone else owns them.
Odd that you missed out on all of that AND still didn't know the rewards for prime war which are detailed in-game as well. I don't know what to say other than look around more.
This is actually the reasoning I would presume. Someone who spends the materials to craft a turret and the ammo necessary to take down the shield has invested far more and deserves more points than someone that shows up with a gun and some copper bullets. Don't like it? Build and use a turret yourself. I don't see anything wrong with being rewarded for investing more of my resources, any mook can bring a gun, simply existing allows you to participate in the event.
I looked before I posted and looked again after reading your comment and I still can not find out anything about it, I would assume its somewhere on the explorer guide tab but nothing and on each tab using the search nothing for prime war or prime or war so again why not just tell me where you know it is?
This is a legitimate issue/complaint. It would be nice if there was a per player limit (this is absolutely doable, since they already have ways to limit building based on location) and a reset when the event ended clearing structures back to the players' inventories. Some might complain "well if i want to farm the event i dont want to rebuild every time", to which i say, there's a cooldown on the event anyway, and something that adds better overall health to the game for all players is worth more than one individual's specific experience.
