How Do I Smelt Stardust Ore?

Every 'walkthrough' website, in a rush to copy/paste each other without doing the bare minimum of research, lack this important step.

Seriously. They all say 'Refine Startrace ore at your electric furnace' but they all leave out what freaking Memetic you need to do this!
Since the lazy prigs who make those 'helpful' sites all just copy each other and vomit out whatever they can ASAP without actually checking to see if the info is useful. -.-

You need Oil Refinery specialization, and it takes fuel + the stardust ore.

True. And then I have to figure out what level would have the smelting perk.
And I have to hope it randomly shows up. If it does not; I have to wait another week to try again.

I am going through the exact problem, I get the reroll item and don't know where to use it, they allow you to reset but not show you what the choices are, sure enough I reset the wrong one and have to wait another week. We are looking for oil specialization, and where the faq it is, is a mystery.
If we reset a specialization, should you not show us what the choices are before doing it? Why is this so complicated? Now i have fuel out my ying yang for yet another week, trying to figure out which category to reset to get the ability to use it in furnace. I'm so pissed.

So after doing some research I've determined that the Oil refinery spec can be obtained in the 20, 25, 30, and 35 level specs. In terms of actually getting it, good luck.

Seriously, just ask someone from your hive or warband to refine it for you. They can give you the stardust source.

RNG usually applies to drops alone, not key specs that can make your time in game easier. As for "teamwork" how about no. Sure pug a team for dungeon farms, but as for being forced to build a hive in order to gain access to a single perk... That is just bad game design. It could easily be fixed by allowing you to select all perks available from the category at a specific level and not just 1 from the list. Also weekly vendor money caps could be set as daily limits to reduce the fact that if you get one specific perk you are set, if you don't "welp tough luck try again in 6 weeks" as some specs will make you rich and others are completely useless.

I'm sorry, but this isn't an RPG it's and Open World, Survival, MMO.... They've NEVER claimed to be an RPG
