Combo Chipset or Stardust Water Pump

I'm unsure which I should get.

Combo Chipset sells for 12,000 Energy Links each, no idea about the Stardust Water Pump. The chip is made with easy to get salvaged stuff, one of which is 30 Electronics, so hoard those as much as possible.

stardust water pump you put (portable?) batteries in and it turns them into stardust. Maybe its useful maybe not. I don't know the exact ratio I only shoved some batteries in. It's weird that it can't just use electricity from your base (but you can put a wire to it) to turn into stardust but i dunno. Basically it barely matches the description at all but it does indeed make stardust

Probably the worst part of this game is random specs i get the idea but if you play by yourself and roll all ♥♥♥♥ perks that just sux.

Combo Chipset = 12k Energy Links (Money).

Stardust Water Pump = Convert Portable Batteries > Stardust Source at 1:80 rate.

Is the pump worth it or are there other ways to get Stardust consistently?

combo chipset is better. You need battery for the bump that requires 20 acid which equal 80 stardust if you have the perk. Bump only produce 80 stardust so you basically lose material to make acid into stardust. Acid is needed mid to end game and you will never have enough of them.

Completely and totally wrong information from the user Bo. It takes 1 battery per 80 Source. This is /technically/ true. But the fact of the matter is that there is no great way to farm source in this game which means its value is much higher. What you do is set up a vendor infront of blackfell and sell your source. 40 source for 1 battery. This will allow you to double your source income and people /will/ pay it because they need the source for uprades

If anyone has any more thoughts, that would be greatly appreciated, otherwise, I may go with the Chipset. I really don't know how important the pump is. I also heard that you need to be in a polluted area or something?

I'd go with the pump. Money is pretty easy to come by. I have 250k+ from running a vending machine shop lol. You can add batteries you craft at supply station for basically turning Acid into Stardust.

You can also pump it directly by being in a corrupted area. You will see black squares in the air, you will lose sanity and it will give a polluted notice on your screen.

chipset is limited because NPC vendors only have so much money.

Well consider this you can sell other ♥♥♥♥ for energy links. 5 iron ore or w/e makes a ingot in the electric furnace, thats all you need. ezpz money stacks. never run out again after farming some iron for 20 minutes

Idr how much per bar but my point is it costs only iron and you can farm it super easily (and thats just one example)

Combo chipset to me is best since you're basically getting it passively by just playing the game so all you have to do is go to your workbench real quick and craft em up. Basically free links.

4xbatteries = 320 stardust = 80 acid

+ - = zero, its only good if u generate by ur self acid as bonus stardust
