instead of giving the player freedom to farm they limit us arbitrarily
apparently the game is going to get a mobile port?
I don't think it's a mobile thing to do, it's the system that MMOs have been going towards since at least burning crusade in world of warcraft with it's dailies
they want you logging on every day so they give you a soft punishment if you don't, and if they make the currency that you want to earn difficult to obtain then you are more likely to spend irl money
did you forget that this game is free?
also starchrom can't be obtained through real life money iirc
and yes it's a mobile thing to do, i've played various live service mobile games since 2016 or so...meaning i know exactly that limiting rewards based on a weekly timer is an idea that is done on EVERY live service mobile game. MMOs must've adopted ideas from mobiles as mobile games are known to make insane profits with low effort, making pc developers try to imitate their success.
and lastly in case you forget, no i dont think starchrom can be obtained with real money.
yea i checked with the discord and starchrom is purely from free gameplay, no money involved.
my point was that MMOs have been doing it longer than mobile games have been in existence. So it is not a 'mobile game thing to do', it is an 'MMORPG' thing to do in an 'MMORPG' game, so your complaint is really with the genre, not with this game in particular
finally if you're a once human dev and you're reading this, love every second i've spent on this game but screw you and your team for deciding to go with this implementation. lots of people hate this idea or at least dislike it and i hope this weekly limitation backfires on your game later on.
So me and my friend should be in a same hive but not in a party in order to maximize the reward of the purification?
im sorry that i'm late to be introduced to a crappy weekly rewards system i guess?
but yes i stand corrected, mmorpgs were the one to start the weekly rewards trend.
I tested it today with a friend (in party), we got 4k each.
