Lost my character.
Second time this has happened.

I played yesterday afternoon then tried to play after supper and my character was gone and is still gone, Horrible Reliability the sucker I am i actually spent money on this game lol. Oh well I played enough hours to make the money worth it I guess time to move on.

I have played a lot of live service/mmo games and this the first one that constantly deletes my character you would think they want me to keep playing to get more money out of me but no apparently not.

When you log in to the game, click the part that displays the server. It's actually a button. It should pop up a server list, with the server your character(s) are on at the top.
Click the server that has your character.
Enjoy the game.

Tried that and somehow it worked. Why do they have to make things so hard.

I agree that it's not very well explained. I've been giving the devs constructive feedback regarding things like this through the in game surveys and logging tickets on their website.
Luckily, I am a curious little ape and so I like to click on things that look like they may be clickable just to see what happens, which is how I came to know about the server list.
I suggested to the devs that they clearly outline the server button and possibly label it above. That should help others find it if they run into a similar situation such as yours.
