Why Once Human is a Disappointing and Short-Lived Game
I doubt the developers will ever see this unless it's discussed on Discord, but I can't post there without risking a ban or removal.

Once Human is a dead-on-arrival game, and here's why: First, you lose all progress after six weeks. Second, it's not group-friendly despite appearances. Sharing a base with a friend is impossible unless they join your base, and even then, they are forced to have their own separate base. The quests are repetitive, and the bosses have poor mechanics. There is no clear goal in this game; you move from marker to marker, scavenging for resources and hoping to gather enough energy to craft and progress. It feels like one of those Facebook games where you need energy to do anything.

Once Human is a disappointing game that won't last beyond six weeks. It's boring, and the puzzles are uninteresting. Today was the last day my friend and I will play; we've decided it's not fun and a waste of time. You can collect all the shiny items you want, but you won't get to keep them. I don't understand this model – you keep nothing and have to start over repeatedly to obtain items you can't retain. Yet, thousands of people are playing. I won't be one of them. I'm off to find a better game. The future of video games looks bleak to me.

There are no incentives except for eternal land, and I'm growing tired of this method of gaming. It's disappointing to see people supporting it. We need to return to traditional gaming models: pay the upfront cost of $60 and have the freedom to choose your own cosmetics. I played on another server, and the idea of starting over wasn't enjoyable at all. We experienced this with New World. When those six weeks are up, you'll remember this thread and the numerous people who predicted the same outcome.

You can literally share bases though. My girlfriend and I are doing exactly that. I really don't get how you mean you can't when you, ya know, can?

When these six weeks are up, I'll be starting the new season with legendary and epic equips, murdering my way across the map with a smile on my face while you're scowling at your monitor, big mad that I'm having the time of my life.

On top of the next season there will be change and fixes with most likely new gameplay/events and so forth its more exciting to think of what the next adventure will be after this season and its not even over yet

Exactly. The starter area on my server is still pretty cluttered from the players who haven't returned.

Right? New maps, new enemies, new difficulty levels, new stories, new lore, new equips....what's not to like about it?
People fear what they don't understand. And, it seems that many fear the wipes because they don't understand how beneficial they'll be in almost every area of the game and in the long run.

Another misinformed, whiny thread where the OP hurls themselves onto the carpet, raging and drumming their heels into the carpet. None of what bothers him, bothers me.

Not sure what the price tag has to do with the wipe system diablo exists, I'm aware it has eternal but doesn't make the game better. If you ain't noticed most 60 quid games released unfinished over the years then they still have the cheek to ask for dlc price and cosmetics ontop of that, give your head a wobble, the markets changed.

Oh, no! Someone spent their own money on a game they enjoy and it makes you big mad!
In that case, I dropped $32 on a cosmetic pack.

Those are not the problems with the game.
It's more that you have nothing to do after a short period of time in each phase. You're finished with the story and all side quests quickly. You'll also have collected almost all hidden chests.

The only thing remaining and worth grinding for is starchrome and a bit tedious to do. And furthermore. Why should I care to have everything when there is no content to use the stuff on?

I miss a groupfinder that works with dungeons. Right now I can't join a single group to do some dungeons. (In my opinion there are also no dungeons, at least they don't feel like it)
