Question to Multiplayer
Is there something I dont get? As far as I see there is no scaling against. So when I want to play with friends it is mandatory to stay together, since If you play a bit alone you are more or less overpowered for lower areas. So in other words you need a character for solo and for group play. Am I right?

you could just make lower tier gear if you want to follow along with your friends

In a sense, but with only one character per server, you'd have to join a different server with friends, at the same time, to maintain consistency. Of course, after you've levelled up together the problem arises that if some or all of them stop playing, you'd have to do the process all over again with any new friends you make, joining a different server and yadda yadda..

To be fair to the game itself, people always play on their own, at times, for a different number of hours a week at different times of the day. One guy might play on his own for a bit, maybe for 20 hours a week, another guy might only be able to play for 4 hours a week. Levelling together sounds great in principle, but the concept can fall apart pretty quickly in practice. The only way to stay the same levels AND play together would be to make a game almost a day job, logging in at the same time together, playing for a set time while doing the same thing, then all logging out.

As I say, it just isn't going to work in practice. My friends and I have tried to do this off and on over the last couple of decades and it never works out.

There was no offence against the game. Thats why I asked about scaling. If you compare the experience to Diablo 4 for example, than its a whole different story. Since you scale against the game instead of fixed levels, you are able to play together with a lvl 6 and a lvl 92 character. I know this would be a incredible difficult task to do after release.
