Do you need a battery to store power if you only use solar panel?

do you need battery's to store power during the day, to be used in the night time or is this game not this deep?

I know you can craft batteries. I have in preparation to start setting up my solar panels, but I haven't had the chance to explore it more yet.

no the solar panel works at night.

Solar panels work at night, in the rain, inside, buried in the ground, it doesn't matter. Batteries are for stuff that uses power in your inventory.

yea, i kinda started to notice that all my stuff kept working at night =D but wasn't sure if it would keep working, now i know thanks for the info.

I'm kinda disappointed that it doesn't work how you think it would, but definitely using it to my advantage

Solar Panel has the battery together, so imagine it as a full unit. But unlikeRust, it always will output that power regardless (at the current state of the game)

Solar panels if broken, if X demand exceeds Y supply, things will un-power until X<=Y
