The game engine is exactly the same as New World?

I've been noticing that the animations are very similar, the interface, the way of running and climbing things, how the mobs even fade in and out.

Maybe? It's not like these are unique. Countless other games do the same thing. You can rotate building pieces. That doesn't mean it's built on the same game engine as The Sims.

This game is based on Unreal Engine 5. New World is on Amazons own engine based an Cry Engine.
