There is also the option for you to have a specialization in memetics that allows you another way to make acid "more expensive - faster", you can "reroll" your specializations each week when completing the objectives, so it wouldn't hurt to see in what levels do the specializations you are looking for usually come out
So with the chem lab which turns sulfur + energy links into acid in 8 hrs was produced 99 in 8 hrs while the fermenting in 8 hrs gave less and required way more to make it.
Sulfur chem spec only requires sulfur and energy links to make acid while the fermenting requires water + polluted acid (which is refined from polluted water in polluted areas). to even remotely keep up with the acid farm you'll need 4-6 pumps > 2 tanks > 2 purifiers > 1 barrel, and thats just to produce closest amount... and then manually put in to fermenting barrels while sulfur... make sure you have 5k enegylinks per stack and some suilfur around 400 and boom done you have 99 and advance chem lab makes 2 stacks in 8hrs which in 16hrs wait i had 4 stacks done fementing i was still waiting for it to break 200.
either way acid isn't an issue for me just the process required seems not worth doing and sulfur being the only choice to go. Id say they both should be viable for to allow a mix but oh well
ya i wish it was like it was in beta test at least it wasn't slow
