I live in the desert near contaminated water and I want to automate purified water production, I wonder if there is a way. I see that here doesn't seem to rain, so my rain catchers are not working and my water pumps pull out contaminated water, any other way out there I can use to automate the purified water production? Maybe sprinklers?

find a body of water hit g afk till your inventory is full of water bring it back to a base and elevate a water tank and dump all the water into that then hose to a lower purifier and profit.

Yeah right now I have a tank on the roof, then below that the purifier and below that another tank but I was mostly asking how to automatically get dirty water in the desert near a contaminated lake. I actually saw rain earlier but the water catchers didn't catch any, and said that there wasn't any rain, umm broken system :(

There's a ground pump, on a high scaffold about 2 walls in height, with an extraction pipe connected to the ground. It extracts "groundwater" and feeds it to a tank(s) situated a bit lower than the pump, say on a 1-wall high flat roof. Send the water from the tank(s) to a purifier.

All you need is a water pump and a water purification thing and makes sure its all powered. and make sure the pump is elevated higher than the water purifier. This game has some level of water pipe physics

Is there a way to get the impure acid from from the osmosis to the brewing barrel directly?
I see the barrels have a pipe mechanic but I don't seem to make it work with impure acid
