Lightforge Medals question

So I saw the post this morning about the Lightforge Medals, and the process for retrieving them. However, what I'm wondering, is if I even have any waiting for me at all.

I never participated in any beta where I had to use their launcher, every beta test i was in, I participated in, via steam. So does this mean I never earned any anyway? And thus, shouldn't bother jumping through the hoops just to be disappointed?
