Don't Be Scared of Wipes (Read Below)
This is just some information about how wipes work, in case you haven't been researching about it.
Source: https://www.pcgamesn.com/once-human/server-wipe

In a Once Human server wipe, you will automatically lose your character, weapons, armor, and resources. Everything you’ve crafted and built within the open-world game’s map will also be erased.

Here is what YOU WILL KEEP after a Once Human server wipe:

Currency: Starchroms, Crystgins, Mitsuko’s Marks, Stellar Planula, Sproutlets
Gear: Gear blueprints, blueprint fragments, weapon accessories, and mods
Furniture: Furniture formulas
Character: Cosmetics, expressions, poses, and namecards
Building: House blueprints
Content: Main story and side story task progress
Account: Friends list

A seasonal wipe might come as a blow after weeks spent building your character, but don’t despair – the developer promises “new stories, events, and mechanics” to tackle. We expect the latest seasonal content to present new challenges and Once Human bosses, which demand new abilities, weapons, and deviants to overcome them. You can sign up for the next scenario at the culmination of each season.

So pretty much this is a gateway for fresh content with a fresh start for everyone, after a wipe, all progress will be much quicker since you get to keep your blueprints and blueprint fragments, making crafting essential for a quicker fresh start, which ain't that bad actually.

Hope this helps, have a great day!

Only thing i haven't figured out is since you starting a new character do you have to stay on the server you gathered all the blueprints in or will it be a chance to jump into a new server with room for your friends. If you do choose a new server to play with friends with all the blueprints and currency travel to that server for the one time deal? For example i play on server 16 will the wipe give me a chance to join server 50 that my friends are on with my blueprints.

my main issue is if we keep our deviants or not, took my 80 rabbits before lethal rabbit dropped for me.

I think the reason people are hesitant for wipes is that after a wipe happens, it will be a whole new game essentially if what they say is true. New Main quests, side quests etc. Game has been in development for a long time and there is quite a bit missing from the current "Season" as it stands. How can we expect them to deliver quality content every 6 weeks if they struggled to do it over the course of a few years?

My understanding is no to the deviants.

As far as saving blueprints, I'm not sure how that would work. Since you can have multiple chars on the same account (on diff servers) and each can have 'an Eternaland' and house blueprints, not sure how you would choose. Or at least it would seem to be a lot of database over akin to server transfers.

So we don't just lose our character, but kinda the only way to get exp too, because killing doesn't give jacksht.

Doing every single thing again from scratch is what kills off the game for soo many....

There are a great many Single player games that I never touch again after I have beaten it... because there is just no point playing it again...

And to clear everything out and to gather everything all over again is a BIG put off... many will become board and leave the game for something that has more permanent features

I am wondering how House blueprints work if the memetic blueprints reset. Ok, so I have my mid-or end game house stored as a blueprint, but...I can't actually make anything for it until I level up to re-unlock all the pieces? Basically we'd have to make a new house/territory anyway with the regular staggered unlocks of pieces and then when we hit mid-game again, then we can re-use our older blueprint?

And have to grind to get all the mats again? Is this basically just for 'if you want to keep your eventual layout the same as your first playthrough' kinda stuff?

Ive read somewhere that the building will be placed with standard recources if upgraded parts are not unlocked yet.

So yeah pain in the ass.

Ppl are really busy with setting up their houses, wiring and powering up everything.

Im 70 hours in @ lvl 44, spend some hours at my base, a wipe will kill it for me.

Most ppl dont give a flying .....about some new story in the main quest line lol......#skip skip skip, talk talk talk, blah blah blah :)

leveling again,, no way.

Sucha shame because its a kickass game.

This is a valid question I would love to know the answer to as well. I hope they allow character transfers in the future tbh.

I have 6 characters on 6 servers all on same account. Spent a small fortune on cosmetics battle passes and subs for each character. Really wish some of it was account bound.

i dont mind the wipe at all i like it, however i have one issue and its big issue, and its gonna crop up for the devs.

your blueprint you gonna keep wich means lets say you have blueprint rank 4 legendary. you can craft that you gonna zoom thru everything. unless they scale up mobs wich they cannot becuse then players that dont have the bluprints from previous seeasons gonna struggle but yea.

gotta see how it plays out but i think its gonna be an issue.

What kills it for me, is having to clear out all of the bases all over again.... doing all of the starter stuff....

It might be ok, if they make a brand new map each time... otherwise the sheer repetitiveness is a MAJOR put off.... The thing is too, Asian players may not mind games like that... but for the western world, it is a whole different matter.... and it puts people off from playing
