I do like to explore every inch of a game, so making all the blue quests made me lot of stronger on zones which I hadn't visited yet. This means for me the game was either designed for ppl who likes hard mode to skip content, or to focus the hard game on pvp, but I do like hard pve as well, and very bored on pvp content cause it can be stressful and nihilist (specially in high risk games) .
All FROMSOFT games prove the right opposite of this. As a player of those games, and Project Zomboid, which are really challenging games that troves to explore the deeps of survival, I do not think this game need bureaucracy on it's core mechanics. All the quality of life aspects are good, but the lack of real peril certainly gonna make this game loose players faster then if it was harder
The hype is a train, but it can be left at any moment when another game comes with bigger hype.
Valheim and Project Zomboid, both has between 10-20k players constantly online. This game can be empty very fast if bad decisions are made, and challenging content is one of the thing that stick players to it.
yea other than soloing the shadow dog i havent encountered another difficult, save a couple 1 shots from open world elite mechanics the first time i encountered them (the stoplight guy lol). i think they're easing people into the game with this "novice" season. perhaps a bit too much easing.
We are on Novice right now. Next season, you can ramp up the difficulty. Then, it gets harder.
You're welcome.
