To all the new online survival gamers that are crying about a 6 week wipe cycle I invite you to go play another game in the genre like Icarus where your progress gets wiped every time you complete a mission.

MMO's wipe when they release the next expansion. You go from the best raiding gear to basic quest gear because that's better and do the same thing you did last expansion. The cycle repeats.

And c'mon, to farm that few materials to upgrade items... its not that much. T5 Weapons on +10 are not that expensive

If you keep all that stuff, why wipe at all then?

You cannot measure personal fun in any mathematical way other than taking two groups, let them do an A vs B test, and then do a survey.

Is it really that hard for you to understand the design behind once human? because it's a seasonal survival game that rewards you for the journey. Have you even played the game? lol...

wiped with every mission is the biggest flop in that game, even the dev acknowledge it and make an updates to fix it.

either you are trolling or you don't know/play a lot of survival games.

with their target audience, 6 weeks are too soon. better make it a full season link to the battlepass.

I didn't variety has nothing to do directly with personal fun. Generally speaking for a layman like you who doesn't understand basic English language. Variety means more.

Edit: Here's the literal definition. the quality or state of being different or diverse; the absence of uniformity, sameness, or monotony. Playing through the six phases of the season repeatedly as opposed to once offers more variety in gameplay. Hence it not being a matter of opinion, and it being a mathematical fact.

To be honest, i was a "enemy" of that wipe thing too.... for the first 2 days...
Now i think, its a good thing.

Keep in mind, you safe your quest progress!
So what you want to do after 100 Hours of total gameplay?
Do you wanna loot the same POI over and over and over? Wanna jump from mapevent to mapevent?

Just play the game and look forward, they are trying out "new" ways, give them a try

In single player you still get to experience the entire world map and that game has mods. You can't be seriously comparing conan to the eternaland.
Also I literally didn't say anything negative about the wipes. Again you guys are shadow boxing. It's just not "objective" but OP can have their opinion and so can you.
