and to think I was gonna inv you to my hive
I'd go ahead and get a head start on that then, because deviants definitely don't carry over.
i spend money on games i think you can see my steam account its public
fix it
I've got getting it out, healing up and immediately putting it back quickly, to minimise its energy use, down to a fine art. It's the only Deviant pet I ever take with me. Having no need to Teleport home to sleep, especially in the middle of a boss dungeon, is absolutely fantastic. No combat Deviant is anywhere close to being as useful to me, so far. Maybe I'll find one that IS as useful to me, but not the ones I have so far, which are the Butterfly, the Samurai, and the Ice Maiden.
As for the usefulness of other Deviants, when starting up after the forthcoming wipe, they're not all that essential to me, really. I can collect WAY more wood and ore myself than the Digbys or Beavers can, but they're trivial to find anyway.
There are two Deviants I do like to use, though. One is the Mushroom, because it auto-plants if I select a particular seed type, and because it harvests all my crops and any seeds produced. For example, it got two mushroom seeds to enough seeds to plant in 10 crop plots, with more seeds to spare. I then set it to plant mushrooms, and it harvested so many mushrooms with no effort on my part! It's way better than the Specialisation that turns spoiled food in my backpack into mushrooms. I never need to worry about having enough sanity-restoring grilled mushrooms, ever again.
The second useful Deviant is the Rabbit that collects meat and rawhide. It's not strictly essential, but it saves me from spending time on hunting trips. Look them up in Google to find where to collect them.
To sum up, as long as I have the Festering Gel, though, I'm good to go. The Mushroom and Rabbit are very easy to get, and the rest of the utility Deviants I'm not really all that bothered about.
