We got Eternal Island so why are people freaking out over wipes?

We have literally a private location that has no build limitations that we can build extensive villages, etc themed.. that persists and benifits thru all wipes and seasons.. its basically a personal Hub.. in one perspective you can see the "Temp World" as a means to gather alot of resources, etc and deviants that we will then get to "rescue" and bring back to our home and populate the empty void.. I just hope we can buy animals to add into the island too. and other things for Visual pleasing. though it seems we can have bosses spawn on the islands too at times.

If all you want is a private instanced area to build on and show off, then Eternaland is great.

If you want to actually play the rest (the majority) of the game, it can not be accessed in Eternaland.

For many Eternaland is, understandably, just the glorified lobby you pass through between games.

its a seasonal vault where you store items and some will never again be allowed back into the game. it states this. no one cares about a side server that is just for building. i bet not one single person plays or will stick around bc of it. we can read and know what is being left in and what is being wiped.

It is also used to stash resources at the end of the season at the cost of a set amount of material points which you can send to Eternaland and when new season starts you can bring all the resources you saved from previous season over to new season.

i have yet to enter said world, but will say i seen posts saying you cant take a blueprint from there into a normal world, which is alittle sad :(

i dont mind wipe at all, for the sole purpose, how to efficient find ways to grind materials, and to lvl and what not. Like games with hardcore where u need to find ways to be efficient in lvling while beeing able to surrival at the same time, and also how the game is atm, when at end game, and did all silo on hardest difficulty, the same with bosses. What els is there to do beside just farm materiels? and it aint like u can just build massive thing in base cuz of limits, so also there is something holding back, than i think it actuall better to have a wipe from time to time, to get a new fresh start, and yeah, there is no really good grind at late game of what ive noticed tbh, no endless loop of grind in late, since the limits in the game

Eternal land is dogwater. That's why some people dislike it. All you can do there is build a house and when you like it save a blueprint. Outside of this Eternalland is worthless.

Notice it doesn't mention resources, so you want to build the blueprint of your house from Eternaland then you'll need to farm all the resources needed to build it, it doesn't just appear fully intact.

If you care AT ALL about building a summer home and hanging with friends (etc) and making your own little getaway island and things, then use Eternaland! Meanwhile, back in the other world you should focus more on making a mega super ultra fort so you can do monster runs to get starchrom! This way your house can take a freakin' beating and you dont care bc ur REAL house is safe and sound. People should focus more on mega base building to farm starchrom WHICH you can do 40 times a week, so you can get those blueprints and stuff! Lots of things stay after wipe. JUST focus on opening upa ll the blueprints you can and they will stay! Trust in the process. You'll relvl anyways due to new zones, monsters and quests. Farming isn't that bad EITHER bc all the stuff comes back after awhile. This can be done by super casual AND hardcore peeps.

it's instant housing. the devs even said you can invite friends etc and they can help you build. Yeah its an mmo, with... Instance housing. lol LOTS of mmo's have private islands etc FFXIV, Mabinogi, etc!

You obviously did not read everything on that info page, it states that you can pay to transfer ressources, weapons and armors into the new season. Which means you can transfer over the more rare materials if you wish. And besides it takes maybe a smaller amount of time to grind some xp to get to the stage where you have decent pickaxe again, and you can choose to prioritize what path you take anew + you’ve learned all the tricks to effeciently level up faster, such as semi afk salt farming, etc.

It is NOT the end of the world. STOP making it seem like it is.

its a horrible idea man. and the player base will suffer from it. i mean, its just that simple. would not wiping make you quit? prolly not. but there are a lot of people who are not happy with the idea. and they will leave. a lot of us do not find it fun to redo stuff over and over again.
