Automatic Doors Not Working
Built an auto-door at my base and powered it. It worked once :) Now, it never works. Not a big deal; likely a bug?

they have to be set up on pressure plates just like Fo76 and the garage door.
i tried messing with the cctv set up to see if i could get it to work but the wires sit in the middle of the door and it looked ulgy so i gave up

Use the hide wires option then. Enter Build Mode and use L to toggle off/on.

you need to attach a camera or pressure plate to the door not a straight power option, cos if you attach it straight to your circuit you are just essentially flipping the value from 0 to 1 permanently instead of when you want it open and shut

ok i hope this helps. i finally found a way to make the automatic door be "automatic" you'll need four things, a generator (solar,biomass, etc.) a camera, the "AUTOMATIC" door, and a power switch.

set up everything how you want it to be. and now here's how you wire them and achieve the "AUTOMATIC". Connect the camera wires directly to the generator, then connect another wire to the switch, and finally connect a wire from the switch to the "AUTOMATIC" door, this setup will trigger the function of the camera to turn on the switch whenever it "sees" you, thus supplying power to the "AUTOMATIC" door, opening it. it then will automatically close, when the power trips off the moment the camera no longer "sees" you. the only tricky part is the position of the camera, so to speak.

here's the simplified circuit of my "AUTOMATIC" door

Generator----->Camera------->Switch------->"AUTOMATIC" door

this. its very straight forward and not at all complex which is a grim reminder of how empty the average person's brain is

So you got fully automatic doors that open and close by themselves in both directions? So if you walk through it closes and shuts behind you? if so I would like to know your setup.

Yes that helps with the door opening kiddo but it doesn't close so maybe try it yourself so you don't look so foolish next time cause I have a camera on the outside of the door and the inside and it still doesn't close

I'm sure they do, and they'd definitely show you, but she goes to another school.

No matter what I do I get the "Power Outage(non functional)" message on the door, the sensor(camera) and the switch. I even demolished all my solar panels, door, switch and camera and built new ones...same thing Power Outage message and door is non functional.

you can just press L in the build menu and it hides all wires and plumbing
