But wouldn't we need stardust source more than crystals? I think all the upgrades are made with stardust source right?

One of the best for quick lvling and crafting fast.
you find 1 diferent crystal at any region. It's used to craft weapons and armor. It's pretty cheap to make after a while and you don't need to farm them in crates and cars around settlements. You can always sell, trade, ...
