I live in Central US.
i think theyre chicago servers thank god none of that cali server garbo with 240 ping. Also way less expensive for the devs, more and more companies realizing that thankfully even black desert moved
Yeah, I'm most def in NA.
Yeah. Also, if you're just starting the game and go to chose your server you can see what kind of bandwidth is happening among all the servers. I'll be honest. It's an Asian game so I'm not really surprised that America is getting the a$$ end of server love.
They said the amount of people exceeded their expectations and their servers are suffering as a result, which can never be prepared for, no matter how many people think it can.
Look at the servers for other regions and you'll see there are less of them and lower populations on them.
It should be one of the things they're addressing with this maintenance.
You want low ping ;)
They do have constantly low bars though which I know you meant to say.
Yep. Same here. 1 red bar. For North America. Blows my mind tbh. The 2nd largest player base for the game gets the worst servers. You could actually play on an EU or Asian server and get better bandwidth on their servers.
Maybe actually get in the game and look? Viewing it at server choice is bugged.
You people never thought why is 1 bar red? If it was red, the bars should be full.
Ummm, that's NOT the way server bars work. If they're FULL and GREEN then the server is full bandwidth with hardly any issues. You people? You mean the people that actually KNOW what they're talking about? 1 bar is not FULL bandwidth, period. It's a scale. From lowest to highest. 1 bar to 2 or 3 is red. Bars 4-6 are green. That's the way 99% of them work. It's also how the server measures its bandwidth and whether it's operating at full capacity or not. 1 red bar means the bandwidth is amazingly low and you're going to probably have a LOT of rubberbanding, hiccups, stutters, etc. A FULL 6 bar GREEN icon shows that you shouldn't have nearly any problems whatsoever.
Also, you do NOT need to "get in the game" to see server status. It's RIGHT THERE on the server selection page. You may be right about it being bugged as there are a TON of bugs with their netcode along with server issues.
