how to re-do base easily?

is there a way to pack up everything so I can rebuild my base? or must i place all storage pieces in a corner somewhere, on a foundation, then demo everything at once?

there must be an easier way

none , there is no option to edit the house blueprint in such a way, the only thing that u can edit easily is how its made from wood to stone to concrete from your foundation to roof, but you cant re arrange the base shape and the things on it only the structure

no you can demo everything you want, but chests or facilities with items in it, you can all mats back for demos just make sure you know that you gonna have a lot of weight but if you use ` to move around you'll be fine, no need to put stuff in a corner unless you dont want to empty chests

You have to go to eternaland. It's like a sandbox mod. I haven't messed around with it much, but I'm pretty sure you can mess with your base blueprints and then "rebuild" using your new base design. Also, there is no total encumberment in this game like valheim where you can't move at all, you can theoretically carry all of your materials and building pieces, either on your motorcycle or fast traveling and then walking to your new base location, it might be some time, but it sounds like the only viable solution given that they do not have a "U-Haul moving company" mechanic for a move+rebuild.

I'm actually facing the same problem right now, I don't mind my location but I do want to start my base over. I want to do is just tear my whole base down manually which will probably take me 5 or 10 minutes total, and then rebuild it better, save it, and then do my move.

Well, I get what you feel. Sometimes, I just wanna to build new design. Instead of upgrade or replace, starting from nothing feels more comfortable.

What I do is to make 1-3 foundation near territory border, then move all chest there. Then I start to destroy all the foundation 1-1.

My best way is by moving all the important stuff into a corner and then demolishing most frame and rebuilding, I believe demolishing returns a good portion if not all material used to make said item

I have tried to do as many have suggested by moving my one chest into the corner onto a foundation pad and it is giving me a "the space is full cannot place" error...wtf devs

Yeah nice big brain, but you can just say you don't know. Obviously not talking about blueprints or B+Z. He's asking how to move everything out of the way to start over. How are you going to talk all that spicy and fail as well. I'd take your own advice first.

To answer the question no, you have to delete and start over. The resources are sent to your inventory and just keep a couple boxes on wood foundations.

My best method so far, is to build a single square foundation or 2x2 foundation in the MIDDLE of the territory, put all my storage there. If there are facilities that someone else build for you with buffs you don't have, put them all there too. If u run out of space, build up a floor.

Then start demolishing everything BEFORE moving. That way, you will make the moving process much easier since now your base consist of only 1 Square Foundation in the middle of the territory. No more clipping or height clash.

The moving item into the middle foundation is the most time consuming process.

HE DOES NOT WANT TO RELOCATE. HE WANTS TO REBUILD FROM ZERO POINT WITH A WHOLE NEW BASE LAYOUT.

Because you are reset as part of the game mechanic. So the base I built at level 1 that is as big as it can get needs to be often changed to one from blueprint I did in a previous build at level 40 which I want to recreate at level say 35 after the reset.
