I am shocked to find out that you can only make one character in a whole game, like wtf
I made a character on one server and then wanted to join friend server on pvp and cant even join them cause i already have a character on a PVE server. Thats sooo stupid hopefully something changes.

Mmm that does not make sense? I made a character on a server, then realized my friends all went to another one and was able to create a character there, no issues.

What are you talking about? you can make as many char as you want in every server.

Pffft, where did you find that little nugget of idiocy then? Some Random Internet Guy? I'll tell you what's sooo stupid is frothing about a problem you think exists, that doesn't actually exist. I'm shocked, I tell ya! Of course you can make a character on another server! I've done it myself. Hopefully you learnt something, at least.

You can even transfer your character and build from one server to another. it gives you the option at the trading post.

Do you mean a Server or a World (a different Shard on the server you are currently on), because I just made another character on PVE01-000XX 5 minutes ago. You can't have another character on the Server you are actually on.

So - when you connect and create a character from the splash screen - that's the _actual_ server.

If you are using a in-game hub - you're not actually jumping server, just a "channel"

When i try another server PVE01- etc, either the server is full or i get the you are limited to one character. I started the game on one server then thought I would join my friends on their server, and i can't.

You mean World (a different Shard on the server you are currently on), not Server. Yes, you can go to a different World (easier to think of it as an Instance, maybe) at the Teleport Beacon, but you aren't actually swapping to a different Server.

Ignore the "full" popup, it seems to say that for every server, even the new one I made another character on. As I say, you can have one character PER SERVER - I made one on a different PvE server about 10 minutes ago. I'll repeat, changing to another "World" at a teleport hub is NOT changing to a new server.

Multiple Character Creation Announcement
Dear Metas,

Based on player feedback, we have urgently opened up the functionality for multiple-character creation. You can now create characters on any server and embark on adventures with your friends.

Our initial decision to close multiple-character creation was due to the imperfect experience of playing with multiple characters. We had originally intended to update it after perfecting the multi-character play function by August 1, but unfortunately, it led to a poor gaming experience. We sincerely apologize for this.

Specific details will be synchronized in subsequent announcements.

To be fair to the OP, the first day of launch they only allowed one character to be created and that created a flood of negative reviews and thousands of videos on the subject. With the way the Internet proliferates data, it's not a stretch to imagine someone getting older data and running to the forums to confirm. Drama, drama, drama!

As I said, basically some Random Internet Guy misinformation. However, simply listening to something or reading something and just believing what is said without actually checking yourself, first is no excuse for spreading the misinformation further.

right now all servers are pretty much full but they're allowing more to enter the servers on 18th.

Not trying to be argumentative, but you can't ignore the server full popup, as you still can't join the server. Yesterday I was getting the one character limit popup, today I'm just getting server full.
