Wipes arent it. And why are pvp and pve separate?
The more I play the more I progress the more I realize that wipes are a really bad idea for this game. The amount of time put into my character is just going to disappear in 6 weeks? I'm only level 38 and have 50 hours played now. Iv done every side quest before the desert area and every main quest I'm on the boss that requires me to be 40 and haven't done it yet as iv been doing other things but just realized how dull the world starts to feel because I'm on pvp. Why do we not get world bosses and pve events on pvp? It halts a portion of our progression and seems to be way better content in comparing to the pvp. I understand not wanting to pvp amd wanting pve only servers but it's weird that for some reason we can't do the pve on pvp...

I feel like this game is going to die on wipe even more so pvp servers because of the lack of incentive on pvp. And a lot of players are going to be turned away on wipe.

In conclusion we need pve content in pvp and a solution for wipes I understand what the devs are trying to do but there game is to grindy to warrant a complete level wipe and my weapons require me to be level 40 I can't even use them rn let alone use them on wipe so what's the point of eterna land??? And my base blueprint will be useless because my memeatics will be reset meaning my house BP won't even be able to be built. Wipes are just a mess that don't belong in a mmo even more so this game.

Yup same the more I play to just adds to it it hurts because of the amount of work you have to put in just to lose it all. I keep hearing hella ppl saying there playing this wipe and never playing again sadly

House blueprint works even when you don't have the tiers required. It will replace it with wood if its made of stone etc. PVE is the most popular that's why there is over 10x as many PVE servers. This is personal preference and if you wanted PVE you should have chosen PVE. Nobody wants to be forced to have to PVP which is the entire reason it's separate. Although I think the PVP is too softcore without fully open PVP which is why I just chose to do PVE instead. But the thing is.. when the servers wipe you can just chose to play a PVE server for the next season.

As for wipes, if it doesn't wipe you will complete everything and be bored with the game. Fresh starts are good for longevity. It also gives new players a fighting chance in PVP servers. I think it will keep things more interesting depending how different the seasons will be.. we will have to see how it goes first before hating on it via speculation.

Imo calling this an MMO is bs to begin with.. This is just another server based survival game, like ARK, Rust etc.

Anyway, wipes are pretty normal for this kind of game. It isn't really possible to produce enough new content before the majority of players gets bored of the end game, while at the same time fixing bugs and other issues.

Idk if the time they chose for wipes is good or not just yet, maybe it should be increased a bit, but without wipes they are just gonna end up with a saturated player base that is bored of the game.

What this game really needs is community servers that are separate from the official ones, like pretty much any other game of this kind has. This would 100% fix the wipe issue...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't seen a single thing that would be impossible to implement if they had community servers.
And they can still enforce the micro transactions and battle pass stuff even on community servers, Conan Exiles does that so I don't see why not....

Didnt know getting into it that there is pve content you just can't do on pvp servers. A lot of people didn't know this some of us don't sit on YouTube all day we just saw a new game and decided to play. Also on new season you're character doesn't carry to different servers so that argument is redundant if I switch on wipe to a new server I'm now stuck with no blueprints no house blueprints and none of my eternaland stuff.

The bored argument isn't a real argument imo. Because playing through the same thing is just as boring as sitting and waiting for new content. And yes this is a mmo more then a survival game like rust it is literally built around a questing dungeon boss run loop also like most mmos a majority of the time it's pve progression is very mmo like not survival game like it's like 10% survival 90% mmo

i have already decided to stop playing on the week 6 wipes, i can already sort of tell the direction of the game, where it's headed, and how repetitive it's going to be ever wipe

For now, i will just enjoy the first season while waiting for Throne and Liberty

but for those who enjoys it, you are in a good hand

Yep, done playing also. Character wipe is ridiculous. Server wipe I can understand.

A bunch of people who don't know how wipes work crying in a circle.
I can mark this off of my Once Human bingo card. AGAIN.
Seriously, the devs have made MULTIPLE announcements across varying platforms addressing this issue.
You don't lose everything. The good stuff is carried over. You'll have the blueprints for your equipment. All you need to do is level and get resources. And that's easy as ♥♥♥♥.
Not only that, but the wipes tie into the lore of the story, as well.
Uncontrollable Deviants wiping out the world and forcing us to start anew in another attempt to defeat them.
A living, breathing world shaped by the players.
And here you are complaining about being a part of it.
Well, there's a ton of other free games you can play. Or, get yourself a part time job and save your pennies for that $70 AAA title your friends at school told you about.
Good luck.

now in a nut shell a new season looks like this:
new world, new story, new quests, new map in whole. your level is reset, its like playing a new game every season, all your blueprints and paid items will carry over, you need to start a whole play through each season.
think of it as a tv series, season 1- story 1, season 2- story 2.

people wont like it due to the hard work on your base, your level grind and all will be gone, however its a whole new season and a whole new story.

im mixed on it, i dont want it but lets see how it goes...

I was extremely happy with the game, would become my Main game to play online, fun, theme is great, construction is amazing, and the game itself is good as hell. But as soon as I knew about the Wipe stuff, all my hype died.

I was playing for hours, and now, I don't see why. Thinking on uninstalling it to be real, as I'll not make it all by the wipe, I have limited time to play games nowadays, so, this wipe scheme is no good for me.

If I play much, will be this season only. Then, bye.
Tachyon Jul 17, 2024 @ 7:20am
Gods, not another misinformed thread about this. Yes, your LEVEL is reset, but...

Q: Will I lose all my rewards and items when a season ends? If not, which items will I keep?

A: At the end of a season, you get to keep important resources like Blueprints, Cosmetics, Furniture Formulas, and Weapon Accessories.

However, common resources, weapons, and items will be transferred to your personal domain, Eternaland, to maintain fairness. Some resources in Eternaland can be carried over to a new season, while others can be used to construct your personal domain.[i/]

It will take next to no time to get back to the level you were with that kind of head start.

Why are PVP and PVE separated?

This question can be answered relatively easily:
Because I'm a PVE player and I don't want to have anything to do with the PVP players under ANY circumstances! Point!
If the rules don't stay that way, then I, the PVE player, will turn my back on this game.
And since an estimated 70 to 80% of current players think the same way, the developer won't change a damn to avoid alienating its paying customers.

Has this stupid question that recurs in every game now been fully answered? It would actually have been relatively easy to answer yourself if you had switched on the organ inside the skull for 2 minutes.

As a guiding principle to remember: A PVE player doesn't want to play PVP.

Eternaland offers freedom for customization, and we plan to add more features to encourage user-generated content. You can design Eternaland as you like and invite friends to join in the fun.
i think your missing the point that i alongside others have stated.
big point- some people put hours and time into a game and dont want it wiped
now who cares if my gun blueprint carrries over, if my house i spent ages building gets wiped and i have to start again- this is a big point players are making.

now i had this view i hate the wipe i no play the game, however i played and it makes sense alongside its pretty fun- if all your missions and tasks have items that carry over its good, we just have to see.

PvP is consensual anyway, and from what I have read on here, hardly anyone bothers flagging themselves for it.
