CHAT BAN

Did anyone else get a chat ban out of nowhere? I keep putting in appeals to see how long it is and if its even appeal-able but they keep giving me the generic:

do they actually have a person take a look at these or are they auto generated no matter what?

They're telling you how long it is lol. I'd say a good many have gotten chat bans or will be, the filth that gets spewed in it is absurd. Then you've also got those wanting to voice their sociopolitical opinions in it. None of that crap needs to be in general chat

This game is ran by a private entity, they are entitled to set whatever rules they want, they created the game and pay for the servers so they get to decide what is socially acceptable on/in it. There are plenty of places where people can spout out whatever they choose to, and I'm all for that, what I'm not in favor of is taking the rights away from a private entity

not your house, not your rules. they have a TOS that YOU and everyone else that plays agree to. you break it then they punish you. its nopt rocket science and chat bans have been a thing in gaming for decades, its nothing new.

Does it say you were banned or can you just not see chat? I cant see chat at all right now, but people can see what I say. I came here to see if there was an issue and seen this post, so was curious.

Almost everywhere online is a private entity if not all of the internet lol. Everywhere I go there are a list of 20 rules with no-life moderators who make it their life mission to enforce you out of some power trip

I want the internet to have a public identity kind of database, where your real life info is attached to a universal online ID card. It would make all the pieces of filth stop acting that way immediately

You want more government regulation, that's sad. You're clearly talking about things you have no grasp of. People IRL act the fool, engage in deviant behavior, and harm others. These are places where they are easily recognized and/or known, it doesn't stop them. There's too much of my "real life" info stored online, it's a security risk. I can't count the number of notifications I've gotten where my banks, utilities, and services have had data breaches. On top of all this you're being totally hypocritical, you want to complain about the rules of some private entities yet in the same breath you want to dictate that everyone should have to be regulated by more government policies

Funnily enough I just got one too. Some moron in chat was talking about DEI and how Meyers Market has a black woman mayor, another moron legit says "you are a typical stupid white man and everyone who doesn't like DEI is racist trash"

I say to the 2nd idiot, "why are you making fun of that guys race? Nothing wrong with being white" and a few minutes later, I get a 1 day mute. The gaslighter who used a personal racial insult is still able to chat with no restrictions, while I'm not..

I am suprised they bother.. They seem to have zero cares for anything vulgar .. At least from the server I am.. I tried to report ' n1ggXX slavers ' (an no it wasnt 2 x's there) .. as a hive name.. an it kept saying ' invalid characters.. I mean.. whats the point of a report system, that puts the persons name in the report.. then tells you its invalid.. An lets not get into the whispers.. Every 10 feet is some kinda racial slur.. or ' put your fingers in my butt ' .. spammed all over the ground >.<
