Wish Machine: Information and best way to use it
The wish machine's mini games are designed so that spending 10K will get you everything in its prize pool. How?

1. Each mini game has 20 holes.
2. Each whack is 500
3. Every whack you get something from the prize pool.
4. When a prize is won, it is removed from the pool (the hole is closed). Thus making the prize pool smaller.
5. When all prizes are won the mini game, it is removed from the list. Only exception is the first mini game. You can reset it with 2k Starchrom (good BP farming)

So 10K will get you the Legendary gear you want and everything else in that prize pool (tons of BP fragments). So you will be able to increase BP levels.

Add the G shop to this.
1. Purchasing from the G shop can only be done once.
2. Purchasing from the G shop does not remove that time from the mini game prize pool and vise versa.
3. Purchasing from the G shop get you only a level 1 BP.

But using the G shop with the mini game that has the same gear?

But how do I get that much Starchrom? There are tons of objectives and events that give you Strachrom. Seasonal reward objectives, pbase purifications, first time for each Prime War and other ways. And within later phases you can gain much more.

So knowing all this, you can use the end game phases and the wish machine to farm for a target gear and the fragments to level it up. The bonus is extra fragments.

When the season resets, enjoy your higher BP level gear. Then repeat Strongholds for BP fragments and farm that Starchrom.

Having made mistakes with my own Starchrom during season 1 I have some advice for anyone who finds this thread later.

TL;DR: - just buy the BPs you want. Most pool items are blue rarity and blue BP frags aren't worth the risk of getting things you don't want when buying exactly what you want is cheaper.

To start let's look at the cost In Starchrom (SC) for each option.
  • 10k clears a pool
  • 8k buys a legendary weapon or Key armor BP
  • 3k buys a piece of legendary set armor

The first pool (The one with a random inventory) is a trap because the only thing that matters in it is the legendary weapon BP.

While it is true that you don't get any frags by just buying a BP the frags aren't worth it because most of the stuff in a pool is blue rarity. Blue BP frags provide little to no EXP when used on legendary gear. Having used the first pool enough times to get 3 legendary BPs I still don't have enough blue frags to level a single legendary weapon.

So no, the fragments aren't worth using the first pool. If fragments are your goal you're better off buying dupe of whatever weapon you want to boost. 60 legendary frags (the amount of frags you get from a dupe legendary weapon) is enough to level the same weapon twice (I believe) since frags from the same weapon give double normal exp.

Additionally the random pool has no dupe protection. Getting a weapon will not prevent you from getting the same weapon again. So by using it there's always the chance that you will get a weapon you don't want and then get it again. That's what happened to me. It really sucks lemme tell you.

So the only pools I think are worth using are those with a set inventory.

As long as you want the gear offered they're well worth your SC especially pools offering armor. Spending an extra 2k SC to get a weapon you want and some bonus frags is a good deal. Armor pools easily pay for themselves: 1 Key armor (8k SC) + 3 legendary set armor pieces (9k SC) = 17k SC. And you get frags on top of all that value.

For new players I would ALWAYS suggest they skip out the gacha, especially if they're unlucky. Just go straight to buying the blueprints. Your sanity will thank you.

And how are you getting your dupe legendaries (60 fragments)? The G shop allows a 1 time purchase. It seems you are using the mini games.

Yep.. Sadly you can only buy the blueprints once. If you wanna star rate them up gotta gacha for it. ;_;

Exactly, the poster has no way to level up legendary BPs without the mini games. SO their suggestion is null.

My topic is about using both to target farming

It's a good post for new people, but for sure I'll try this next season because hells no I wanna test my luck right now. ;_; Starchroms hard to get. I'll just get all the blueprints I want first.. XD So I won't cry about it.

I can understand that. But since I was in Phase 5 and has 12K to have fun with, I tried my chances and was impressed.

The other thing we got to consider is, what will happen in the next season. We have been told their will be a new map with a new survival trait (cold). I am assuming many of the NPCs will have some resistance to cold based dmg. SO it is possible vortex builds will be useless.

This is just and assumption based on what the devs have told us though.

But having some extra BP fragments when new armor or new weapons arrive will never hurt.
