For this reason, no player SHOULD be able to do everything alone. That's the idea behind it.
It's not without reason that people are trying to get me on Discord, even though I run my own Teamspeak 3 server where I've been playing with friends for more than 15 years.
Or I should share something on unspeakable social media accounts.
But don't panic, you don't HAVE to. What is essential, however, is cooperation with other players, or even better, with your own friends.
I can make fuel and stardust sources. But I can't smelt gold and silver or produce acid. Luckily a friend can do that. So I make the fuel and stardust sources for everyone and in return I am supplied with gold bars and acid.
No, I'm not doing this for free...... my friends bring me star trail ore and I give them sulfur and energy.
This works quite well and is fun. Because a social environment has to be good for something (and bring a small advantage).
Forcing cooperation usualy is kinda difficult and giving people different things they can do (that are possibly interlinked) does seem like a not to bad way to do it.
and hey when it comes to A Trusting others is Hard so i should be able to do everything, Well then we also kinda need to Give everybody the Ultra grenade Recipe all the Other recipes for stuff like Stardust Water pumps Different food items etc.
If Gold would be a Requirement for Endgame Gear i could see looking it away as problematic but currently gold is just a way to make money or for some Gathering tools (that are not needed per say and it requires little ammounts so you can also just buy it)
If we Remove all the you gain the Abilitie to Craft xyz then we need to remove quite a bit part of the Specialisations and you end up with only Specialisations that you get more or that your Stations are better further devaluing specialisation
