Wanted: triple barrel shotgun

A triple barrel breach loading shotgun can be quickly reloaded with one motion thanks to the peculiar physics of how three shells fit in the hand and I would like to see that in this game because the shotguns aren't very good compared to a shrapnel rifle or a fast gunner LMG and the effective range is so short that it might as well be sawn-off but also it's absolutely badass.

It seems like shotguns are extremely short range for balance reasons or something so I think adding a cool sawn-off makes more sense than increasing the range.

I forget which mod for the 2 shot, but.. it enabled 4-5 shots from the gun while it only physically has 2 barrels.. so there's that lol

Shotguns in real life aren't even good from a distance. They are close range weapons. The hand fed 8 round autos are the worst. Use those for secondary weapons. The auto shotguns or double barrels are more for main hand weapons, as they have much shorter reload times, and more accuracy at short to mid-short distances than their counterparts. Military... it helps.

You're right. I have no idea why people have been using shotguns for hunting all these years. /s

For teal (pheasant) and duck, sure... but those aren't rifle tarhets. Deer... why on earth would you hunt with one? You should learn what you're talking about. There's right tools for the job, and few targets in hunting require a shotgun. SMH

FFS a few departments of military and police have breach shotguns and now the kids believe it's a melee weapon.

There's hundreds of years of history on this topic. If "education" is the solution to a "problem" then it isn't working.

But it could be said that a sawn-off like what Lycus Dion carries around would perform similar to what we see here ingame.

It's true that this game's shotgun range is abysmally short. I didn't even compared it to real life since I only have shot a few when in military training (but I'm not deployed).
I personally think it should feels like and fit in the game they're trying to make.
The other similar game that also has dุick reach shotgun I've played is the Division. But that game is a cover shooter with walking shield build, so it couldn't be directly compared.
With a game that a boss is gigantic and has massive range like this, shotgun should have longer damage drop and grouping.

But the idea of triple barrel shotgun, functionally, you can already have it with mods substats and mod main stats that give back ammo when kills occurred.

Another thing to point out: Doombringer, a bull's eyes shotgun is one of the most broken build that can shred stationary boss like radish on a grater. And it's really low investment build too.

okay but also it would be REALLY COOL you see what I mean? That's what I'm getting at more than anything.

In the same way that the bike in this game is like a combination of 70's scramblers mashed together into a custom modern frame. It would be unlikely but possible to find one like it in reality but it you did it would be REALLY COOL
