Base Building: Construction limit at 700 objects - Why?
Hello,

First of all, yes I can understand that the more objects a player / server creates, the more resources and performance is needed.

But now I ask myself the question. Why is there a limit of 700 objects in the game?

I am given the opportunity to build a base from a very large selection of objects in the catalog, which I can design as I wish. I can build upwards, to the side, have only 1 room or 50. There are objects that are more suitable for a front garden, while others make it possible to build high towers.

I started with the latter until I realized that there is a limit of 700 objects with the second expansion stage. So my idea of building a large, or rather the largest, knight's fortress is gone.

Funnily enough, base building is aimed precisely at building crazy or beautiful houses. I mean, there is a competition in the game.

Long story short. Please increase this limit, thank you.

PS: Not everyone is satisfied with a small house on the edge of town.

Best Regards

probably a issue of network efficiency; adding more pieces makes loading in houses use more data storage and bandwidth. like if you think of how many players there are with their houses being loaded in and out for many different players... it adds up to a real world cost they have to pay for.

in future when its only the most dedicated players (usually spending proportionately more money) they will increase the size.

I play this game on PC: 7700k CPU, 1070 Gtx, 16gb DDR5, or on Laptop 3070TI and 64gb DDR5. Internet is 1000Mbit.

In both settings, i have 0% of lags, performance Problems.

So I stand by what I said. 700 objects are planned very economically. It may well be more. Furthermore, the fact remains that the catalog offers so many objects, but you can only use a handful of each, then you reach a limit - yawn :D

you misunderstand. its nothing to do with your computer running a single instance of the game with a single house.
Its the server computers storing and sending out the 700 pieces of hundreds of thousands of houses. if you add just one piece (lol) and make the limit 701, that means the servers are having to store hundreds of thousands of pieces extra.

This discussion again?

If you want to build this big bases go to Eternaland, there's no limit there. Simply build your castle and share your island code for anyone that want to see it.

In the playing servers we need a limit to avoid performance issues to other players.
