Is it just nightmare PW and Manibus event? I was hoping for some new areas to explore.

New areas come next season. Right now, we're concerned with trying to protect the bit of land we have uncovered. It's an introductory season. A wet your toes season, if you will.
It's not going to be the whole game.

It is, I was just hoping for more. Prime wars are a bit lackluster to me. High entry cost with the ammo requirements and often laggy. Looking forward to next season, though.

No matter what we do, the bubble will pop. We are just here to try to stop the invasion here. If not, it infects the rest of our reality. Lovecraftian lore always blends reality with other worldy dimensions.

Ammo requirements? The only thing required for PW is having the proper pass if you're trying to play Hard or Pro.
There's always a handful of ppl who show up woefully under prepared and with almost no ammo/explosives to help out during the fight.
You don't NEED any particular ammo. Though, bio missiles, rocket launchers, nades, etc do help.
If someone told you that there's an ammo requirement, then they lied to you so you'd bring the ammo that can actually help in the shield stages.
The lag is a side effect of the area being in a merged server. They didn't allocate enough resources to the server that handles PW. So, if you get too many ppl there shooting at once, it will lag. Hopefully, they remedy this in subsequent seasons.
For now, the best thing you can do in a laggy PW is not spam clicks or button presses. Be deliberate with each action and don't shoot bio/rockets too quickly or they can no-reg.

I just mean the amount of mats that go into making rockets etc.

But the Kiddos obsessed with PW sure do.
The game might not yell/berate at you for not being super efficient at the PW event
But the Kiddos obsessed with PW sure do.

They think (on my server at least) they 'run' it.
Don't do this, put this there, don't put that there, get off my extra gatt... It's all i read.
Rude, pushy, demanding. and they act like it's the entire game and it's super critical they be run back to back continuously.

It's getting old.. real fast.

Yeah that sucks! You just got unlucky with your server I guess. My experience has been totally different. Really friendly vibes, no pressure, people always willing to help. GGs all round. Didn't have a clue what I was doing first PW but tagged along and managed to get all 3 crates and a bunch of starchrom. Just waiting for next Pro to be organized as I missed the last one.

What sucks is you can't even do Manibus unless you do the prime war tier unlocking. So if you missed out on your server doing the Pro runs, you're going to be hard pressed to get it before the week ends.

It is most unfortunate, The mode is rather cool it's just a few ppl with huge ego's ruining it for the majority, some are even taking up extra player slots with alts to grind biomass just for PW.. which normally wouldn't be an issue but with how the servers work is outright greedy. It's an obsessive few and thankfully they roll in a group and only really hit it in the afternoon (after school probably). It is what it is, can't shop around for other servers so it's either log off when they get on or push through the 1000ms spikes and hope i'm not doing anything too important when the disconnect comes.
