I finally got mine to work by connecting them in a smaller area first and then moving them to where I wanted them. This too was not without multiple issues. When I tried, for example, to hookup the sprinklers I connected them and tried to move them. The first one moved without issue, but the 2nd one would not move and instead created a duplicate sprinkler that was not connected. It took me 20 min of trial and error to get a new one hooked up. The issue was made even worse when the game would not let me delete the bugged sprinkler. It took another 15ish min of moving it around and logging in and out to finally get rid of that bugged sprinkler.
I am building my main base in that established house on the lake using hydro power. I was able to get 3 hydro power working, but if I have need for more power I hate to think what I am going to have to go through to get that to work.
Try everything incl. complete rebuild... no succes.
And my bugged sprinkler has re-appeared and is not able to be deleted again.
the build system is extremely bugged, snap points that don't work or the order you need to build parts in order to get your roof closed and that sort of things, its annoying.
buggie or broken
- fishing
- build system
- perk upgrades (some flat out don't work)
- crafting / farming, you place a stack of food in fridge and the ENTIRE stack spoils at once.
- small pumps some work without power and some need power, the flow keeps switching or flat out don't work
- bike, cars feel like driving on ice
- monster scale goes from stupid easy to stupid "to" hard
i can go on... but you get it. this game plays and feels like an early alpha and they are going to wipe and change out map and story (YEA right, this i have to see, can't wait for that fallout)
oh i had this with a roof corner and it was the 4th corner i wanted to place, i left eternal lands and said F it. lol
update on the bug i encountered: this seems to have to do with the door portal from the strange door deviation. tried to replicate it on another char where the trap placement worked fine, got the same message of "trap limit reached" AFTER placing 2 portal doors down, regadless of there actually being any traps on the map or not. one portal only is fine though, just the second ♥♥♥♥♥ things up. wild bug...
It seems they still have some things to work out.
I guess blame the wipe haters.
the game launched with that eternal lands, they did not add it because of the haters.
1. Make a water pipe from something to something else.
2. Hover over each structure if the water flowing effects disappear you won't be able to connect
3. Replace structure and pray for it to snap and place right, repeat step 2.
Job done. Took me about 2 hours of building to find this and then figure out that this is an easy fix if you use the visual, sucks to rebuild something. Most of the time i've realized it happens if something isn't connected or if the flicker happens
eternal lands needs oil fields, and corruption area's, basically it need everything your normal senario has.
My suggestion is try to stay under the 250 limit and if you have to break that limit try to hook up your pipes and wires first.
I was trying to make a massive farm in eternaland and the system kept breaking not letting me connect pipes or wires. I deleted everything and started over, started with the pumps, filtration system, sprinklers, and lights. Once I confirmed those worked flawlessly the first time, I then started laying down my plots of soil. I stayed under the 250 utility limit and everything has been working fine.
