Vending Machine Sell Prices?
Is there any price guides for all the items that i would like to sell in the Vending Machines? I'm trying to find out what everything is worth before selling in game. I hate to just put random prices without knowing what the current market is for each item.

It is based on server basically. I'd suggest doing market research on other vending machines if you don't want to do math to set your own prices/adjust prices based on demand. You could always ask "what does ---- sell for" tho people who sell that stuff can be tight lipped about their link business. (them telling you "I sell ---- for 100" might give you leverage when you list the same item for 90, for example.)

Thanks I will definitely check it out. I'm trying to make a small thriving business, but no one in my server will tell me what they're selling items for. Hard to find vending machines in my server ATM.

this is interesting, because as a customer, who has time to do the research to know whats a good price on the server? aside from watching chat and tracking prices and assumptions (if x costs this then y must cost that), its basically non-fixed as in you can charge whatever you think feels right. like theres no WoW marketplace where you can see all the listings at the same time, you have to go all the way to a physical place.

Also with that travel, if you make the trek to my vending machine and I ever so slightly overcharge are you going to pay the higher price or waste time travelling somewhere else to get something cheaper.

Also also, what about vending machine location? That must play a part in pricing too. Since you can basically put a vending machine anywhere (stick it on a truck and park it
outside a town), you can create value (and in turn higher prices) through convenience.
You could also overcharge late game items in early game zones. Inversely early game materials could be valuable in late game zones since it would be a pain going out of your way to farm there (though i dont think theres anything in the game that works like that??)

The whole vending machine aesthetic is actually genius... look forward to resupply shops opening next to dungeons and bosses...

Agreed, I think this is a great feature. Bad thing is on my server no one is talking about selling or anything ATM, they are all worried about building... Which is cool don't get me wrong, just getting decent sleeping price points to start out with is a bit harder on my server. I will try and go based on other servers prices for the time being.

I'm farming for fuel and acid ATM to sell, I have my pumps down ready to make some EL, but the way my server is ATM idk if anyone will buy anything seeing as all they do is build.

I sell stuff and request EL for the currency, I do not do trades. Therefore, I base my prices off of the cost to make ACID since most, if not all, of the stuff I sell has ACID component in it. To make one acid, it costs 50 EL. So, I charge double that for each acid I use or sell (I sell acid, too). I charge double to cover their costs for me to make and sell it as well as my costs to make and use it for myself. It has to benefit me as well or it is not worth selling.

I also take into consideration vendor prices that are already in-game for things like silver and gold. I sell my silver ore at 267 EL per unit so my buyers make 2k EL profit selling their smelted bars to the vendors in each settlement when they buy silver from me.

If I sell a solar drill with GOLD and a battery that took acid to make and the gold is MY gold, I take those things into consideration. I also pay attention to how others on my server are marketing theirs.

The prices for solar drills on our server follow the percentages of the bonus on said drill. The solar drills that use gold give a 40% boost in what you harvest, so that drill sells for 40k EL on our server. The tiers are as follows: 25% tier is 25k EL, and the lowest tier has a 15% bonus, so sells for 15k...if anyone cares to buy them.

As for the other items... I take information that a content creator put together and posted in a video and weigh the pros and cons, consider the price range he came up with after he conducting his own research and price things at a price point that I am comfortable with. I am an accountant and reseller in real life, played the AH hard in WoW for over 12 years, so a lot of this comes naturally for me after so many years experience in games and in real life.

The market for everything will fluctuate as time goes on, so it is important to stay informed by checking your competition regularly and making adjustments. So, do that, too... If you are selling things that is in high demand, like fuel and acid, you can't list enough of it to satisfy the masses. So, your prices on that can be all over the place and people will pay, especially if people on your server are doing prime wars on the reg. So, be aware of that as well.

Hope this helps!

Generally supply and demand but just markup about 20% from what the vendors will sell in the marketplace in settlements are generally a solid price. Obviously stuff like acid should be priced more.

I ignore server prices and set what i think are reasonable prices, either people buy or they don't, if its just materials then they did not cost me anything to gather so I set prices very low. If its something processed in some way (ingots, foods etc) I look at what they cost me to produce. It's so easy to make money (Energy Links) and also Energy links do not carry over from season to season, I currently have well over 800K EL and have been constantly above 300K for the last 3 weeks.

Just be sure to not fall below the 400k mark on your EL before you get the chance to use your EL to purchase starchrom crates before the end of the season.

I am well below that 400k mark (only have 60k atm), but I haven't even completed week 2, phase two. However, I make a lot of acid using EL to keep up with my needs and selling demands. So, I am not as fortunate as you are with that much EL - YET. I am working on it.

I have also completed everything I can do on the map besides prime wars and hunting down every deviate, formula, etc. All of the areas are completed and almost every available task. I have three left to complete, those of which I cannot complete until future phases, one being phase 4. I am max level as well. So, selling things is now my 'game' to play to kill time until the next phase.

I wish there was more content. That is my only gripe with this game. It seems after the second phase, the only challenge is prime wars and doing the harder levels of the silos and monoliths to get your best in slot items...for what reason? To play harder silos and monoliths on repeat? That is where I start to struggle with the time I have invested in the game thus far.

I have even seen what the new tasks are in phase 5 and already have most of those done.

This is my second character, too. So ...there's that. I got bored and started a new character to play with my daughter, who lost interest very fast.

I am going to hang out long enough to see what the next season brings to the table after the wipe and see if it is worth sticking around. It is a lot of fun to play when you have things you can do, but I can only rebuild my base so many times and farm so much silver and gold before I start to lose interest.
