Vending Machines
Is there a way to sell a stack of items with a price for each item instead of the entire stack?

Because listing each item individually repeatedly seems like a needless chore.

Doesn't this already exist?

That's actually how it works, though? You put a stack of, say 10 Canned Meat into the machine, priced 220. That's 220 EACH, not the whole stack. If you look closely, when you enter the number of items in the stack and the price, it does give you a total of how much you'll earn if the entire stack goes.

That's how it works using energy links as currency, yes, but the functionality between item trade and energy trade are different.

I have no reason to sell my stuff for energy I have plenty of already if I can't use that energy to buy like acid or rubber or something useful.

Using resources as currency would solve this problem.

Just... calculate the price for the stack you're selling? That's what I do when selling source for batteries (in stacks of 1,2, or 5) or prem fuel. So one battery is 40 source, 2 is 80, 5 is 200 etc etc

So you're suggesting to sell items in a stack that is priced appropriate for the amount of item currency a person is likely to be walking around with in their pocket. I like it.

That is very true for the the 1 battery trade - I 100% want anybody with a spare battery to trade it for my source (which I will then double with their battery). People who _know_ they need source will show up with 5 batteries. If I had a bigger fuel production I'd vary the stacks of premium fuel too, but I just sell stacks of 10 for a slight profit in acid

This is a bit like putting out a vendor that BUYS things which you can't do with energy but you can with source.
