Any Way To Disable Melee Kill Animations?
They're nice and all but I get tired of them pretty quickly and they're starting to turn into a hindrance because I'm stuck in a longer melee animation leaving me open to attack, would be great if you could turn them off.

Definitely agree with this. It really grates on me.

The Finishers take a ridiculous long amount of time to finish, when a quick single melee attack would finish the creature in a split second, you instead have to wait out the finisher animations to FINISH

xD

Very annoying indeed when you're trying to be effective on time. It's just flashiness for being flashy, but actually degrades your combat performance.

never ever bin damage by some other monster when i was in a melee animation, sure they take a tad more time, but i seem to be protected when i'm in one.
heck i even seen other monsters wait next to me lol.

anyways, sounds like you need to kill them with bullets if you don't like melee kills =D

The trade-off is that it is time where your character is immune to damage.

Which makes no sense and could be removed for all I care.

Better to grant that immunity at a smaller scale during a dodge-roll with i-frames for example, imo.

So you play melee to be flashy and go against the grain, but don't like having consequences for being flashy and going against the grain... sure...

Huh?

No, I don't play melee. I've used melee however, on occasion. And this is my experience with melee. To be flashy and going against the grain? Wth you on about? lmao

pretty sure they don't in this game.. I've never noticed the effect of it when rolling (always taken damage). This impression was re-inforced by reading someone else comment the same about no i-frames on dodging in a thread related to boss fights iirc..

do send me some info on it if you find me to be mistaken here, though

if you take damage, that means you rolled to late, i must agree the timings in this game is tied, you really need to roll at the exact timings, you could say they better change the timings. but bosses play on a diff rule-set, take the hound as example, when he boost runs at you, at times you see him bend towards you and you can't avoid the attack, THAT i find annoying.

(ps: please don't make fun of me for english lol, not native and em so old i never had english in school)

dude, I have nearly 150 hrs in the game. I always roll on instinct on incoming attacks, but they've never helped (aside from moving away from their hitbox / collision detection, but that is not about i-frames). i-frames make you invincible for a certain amount of animation frames. These are separate things.

I encourage you to try this for yourself
