If you're in a hive then you can give whatever player has the resonant filter in their territory all of your cortexes (up to the 40 per week) and purify them in one go. You'll BOTH get the starchrome. What WON'T count for the player that doesn't have the filter in their base are goals type of stuff specific to their area like "Kill x number of enemies in your territory while performing a purification" for example. That's been my experience.
What we did was build a generic but effective fort style of building in one territory but right near the border of the other players. Then it was easy to trash the place and rebuild it from the blueprint to do a few runs for specific stuff. I'd advise AGAINST putting it inside an actual base since the mob spawns both are weird and random. I had a couple of enemies spawn inside my green/deviant house and they started trying to wreck it even though they could easily path out of it. So unless you want needless damage, I'd consider that as well.
