What does bother me is the implementation in regards to phases.
Because you don't want to use controllers before you can get legendary mods, you end up saving all of them until end game. Being able to use controllers on normal mode bosses ends up being a trap for new players.
Normal mode bosses shouldn't require controllers since most/all of those drops don't matter anyway.
Controllers are used as an end-game currency. They should only be able to be used on end-game bosses.
It's funny because they're the ones crying about us asking to remove them yet here we are. They're also ones who would never say this kind of stuff to anyone's face and hide in the comfort of their own home, behind the comfort of anonymity saying this stuff. But hey whatever makes them feel better.
I have yet to see an answer to my question.
What actual negative side effect does it have on the game if controllers would be removed?
All I've seen is an emotional response of 'hurr durr people complain too much' and not an objective one about the ACTUAL in game mechanics.
Funny also is if it was something they wanted changed they would cry just as much.
Hilarious.
Here is a use for controllers, Some people have just but one arm and or hand. There are controllers out there that make it easy for people to play games with just but one hand or arm.
Some of those with this resolve are veterans.
Also, You can lean back in your chair with a controller and play. Pulling a mouse and keyboard that far back sometimes just isn't comfy. Many reasons.
Edited (My comment is dumb and null because i thought they were actually talking about physical controllers My Bad.)
A lot of players in my server are asking to buy gravel / rubber.
I think there are a lot of players who just don't play, or are somehow playing the game completely wrong.
No, you have basic versions of mods for your build with random rolls. A LOT of power comes from proper rolled mods. But mods with high value rolls start dropping only in pro mode silos/monoliths. and Even then it's not the best rolled ones, once you have a lot of high quality mods you can convert them to even higher quality multiple times over.
But what happens is either people waste bunch of controllers on trash quality mods in normal/hard modes and then they barely have any controllers when good stuff starts dropping or they barely play till phase 4 or whenever Pro mode content opens up in scenario they are in and then go all sweaty last 2 weeks of scenario, because using controllers earlier was simply a waste. Or just find something else to play before phase 4 drops and don't even finish scenario at all. All situations are bad for the game.
Either pro dungeons should be opened from phase 1 for people who want to and can handle the challenge or controllers should come in 3 tiers, separate for all 3 difficulties so you don't feel like wasting it when used in normal/hard mode content. Or simply removed.
