Never had to do what the OP stated. Which makes me think they are mistaken a Discord thing for a OH discord channel thing.
The official Once Human Discord server does not ask for your account information. However, to be able to send messages in the server, you need to verify your identity by phone.
Note that this is a verification feature used by Discord. It does not give the Once Human Discord server owners your information, but the server checks against Discord if your account is verified or not.
The reason for this is both to counter spam, as well as it's adding another layer of defense to your own account.
