Item stacking issues

I noticed the game is a bit wonky when trying to stack items.

For example, I have a Large Crate with food items and ingredients where 3 slots are occupied by 15, 33 and 17 units of Sugar respectively. I can't merge these stacks even if I take them into my backpack and spam the T (Organize) key.

Does anyone else experience this? Any workarounds or ways to fix?

Ya it's because the devs thought it'd be a good idea to put the facility's buff on the crafted item. It does that too with the Ingots. I have 3-4 stacks of each ingot. The devs have known about the issue since the betas and have yet to care to fix it.

I get this all the time. Only thing I can think of that makes it happen is crafting bonuses, For example, ammo made without any crafting bonuses won't stack with the ones made with the +50% crafted bonus. Same for crafting metals. Did you at one point have a bonus to cooking?

Yes, thanks to Chefasaurus Rex, although the Sugar items don't indicate any bonuses from it, like the crafted food does.

Guess I got kelu-kelu'd.

Boiled water, corn oil and salt get the same, you can skip around this by doing those at a campsite or pulling the dino out of his container which doing batches of that type.

or just pick that perk that let you craft 64 slot chest, problem solved

I have this issue with all items. All items stay in separate stacks. For example I have canned food in stacks of 2 2 and 1. Can't merge them. Can't merge anything. Ever.

I have noticed that the items that get separated are the ones that I looted versus the ones I created.

The perk isn't available to everyone ...
